"Mom?" I slowly creep into her room.

There she was, just laying there.

I could tell she still felt sore and hurt but everything was okay now. She would be able to leave the hospital in a few days and of course I was happy for her.

She said to me once I reached her bedside, "Hunter go home and just relax. I'll be okay here. I'm sorry for this."

I began silently but vigorously crying as I gripped her hand. If I hadn't have been such an idiot, we wouldn't have had to go to court, we wouldn't have been driving that day, those tears would've never been spilled, and we would be home right now. But yet she was apologizing to me.

I responded with,"Okay, Mom but if you need anything just give me a call."

She nodded slowly. She was exhausted, I could tell.

I then slowly walked out of the room, made my way down the hall, and checked out at the front desk. With permission to leave, I exited out of the hospital doors and headed to the nearest bus stop.

I just had a few random dollars in my pocket. I didn't think he bus was very expensive so I just decided it would be the best option.

Three buses and a short walk later, I was home.

I opened the door, instantly kicking off my shoes and laying on the couch for a few minutes. I was comforted by the houses familiar pleasure.

I then remembered Sarah after a couple moments of staring at the ceiling and how I had probably hurt her feelings. I needed to call her.

My cell was all the way upstairs in my room. I knew I wouldn't be able to climb the stairs with my aching leg.

The land line was my last option. She didn't know the number but hopefully she'd pick up anyways.

I picked myself up off of the couch with my elbows, grunting as I did so.

I hadn't noticed before but my back hurt more than my leg in certain positions. This position happened to be one.

Just walk, I thought, trying to coach my legs. They listened and I stood.

The phone was just in the kitchen. Walking in, the cold tile on my feet made me cringe.

Taking the landline off of the hook and dialing, I fiddled with the long cord.

"Hello?" I heard her sweet voice and I smiled.

"Hey, can you maybe come over?" I asked, hoping she'd give me a chance to explain myself.

"Uh no thanks, I'm busy today." She said in realization of who I was.

"I know you're free, Sarah. Please, I'm sorry for yesterday but you knew how hard it was. Just come over okay?"

There a pause between the two lines.

"Fine." She finally said. "But just tone down your attitude this time."

I nodded to myself. "Yes, of course. Thank you, Sarah."

"Mhm, see you in a bit." She said before ending it.

I could tell she was a bit hesitant still but I'd change her mind once I explained why I'd tried stealing from the bank.

I figured she needed to know. It was for her anyways.

She'd be so extremely pissed but I was hoping it would only make our relationship stronger.

I mean, what's the big woop anyways? Not like I killed anyone yet.
