Chapter 16: Plasma Bullet

I wake up to see Daniela crying next to me with blood all over her body, I try to get up but quickly realize that a pile of the ceiling is on my back. I feel dizzy and weak as she notices my struggle to move, she than screams in joy and says,"Oh my god Alize, you're alive!" I roar in pain as I move around but manage to say,"Nothing could kill me except your beauty Daniela." She blushes but tries to pick up the rubble to set me free, screaming in the process. I hear footsteps outside the room as I look up to see my friends gathering around me to take off this crap. Once it's all off I hang on to Daniela to keep me balanced due to my left leg being scraped up and not healing for some reason, maybe I need to wear off the bluetonium so I could get my powers back, especially my healing factor. I notice Catalina eyeballing me and Daniela, but mostly her as we run through the halls looking for a way out. I stop dead in my tracks as I see Felicia laying by a wall with a couple of rods with rusty metal pin through her, I limp my way to her as fast as I can and fall next to her as she lifts her head with some effort and smiles. "I always loved you Alize... this hurts so much but it feels like it is worth it do to our kiss. I will miss you, but before I die, I only ask two things from you." I yell with tears running down my cheeks,"What! Anything you want i'll do!" She grins and says with some struggling moans," First... I want you to go to a little girls birthday party in Golden in April next year. Make her as happy as she could be with a small version of your suit and a kiss on her cheek." I smile and brush back her hair and say,"Thats in 5 months felicia...but I will." She does a little laugh and says," And for my last wish, I want... I want one last...kiss." I reach in and kiss her as I feel her tongue feel around my lips so I open my mouth and french kiss her. After a minute of kissing I feel her get weaker so I rip out the bars and hold her in my arms and watch her fade away. I hear her last breath and break down crying, hugging her limp dead body tightly. Icer Stasis walks up to me and pats my shoulder, but tells me we have to go so I lay her body towards the wall and go with him as he slides me and Daniela out the hole in the ceiling. I cry the whole way back to Denver as I feel like the world got darker and gloomier. It is a silent trip back as we all land where Daniela asked to go in Montebello, as we land she turns towards me and hugs me. I squeeze her back tightly and say,"I hope this isn't goodbye Miss.Ronquillo?" She smiles and says back,"Who said it was?" and walks up to her doorstep and knocks. A couple open the door and hug and kiss her endlessly, making me feel a little jealous that I didn't get a goodbye kiss. I was about to yell something about a kiss until I realize that her parents are there and I don't want to emberess her. As they walk in and shut the door I smug with a tear coming down my eye and turn around, until I hear the door open and someone yelling," Wait!" I turn around again and get knocked to the ground as Daniela jumps on me, kissing me like there is no tomorrow. As we get up she says before walking away," I almost forgot our goodbye kiss." I smile and get on NanoHawks back as we all fly back to Don's house, it feels so great to have the fresh air hit my face. When we get to Don's his wife makes meatloaf and lets us all crowd around a table so they could hear my story in that prison. After about a hour of story telling everyone starts saying,'You did what?" "She did that to you?" And lastly, "I'm so sorry for your loss Alize." I nod in silence as it gets kinda awkward around the kitchen until Carlos asks me if he could run some tests on me at his place right now. I agree and leave with him scratching a part of my head that hurts a ton. When we get there Blind Breeze is sitting on the porch with some chips and water and senses us walking up. "Hey guys, you mind if I hang with you two because I have nothing to do right now?" We both nod in agreement as we enter through a secret entrance  behind the mansion. As we go into the basement Carlos asks me to inject my finger into a machine by his computer, I do and within seconds I feel stinging at the tip of it. I scream,"Ouch!" as I pull away and watch as he types into the computer. Catalina just tests out her powers with some of the machines Carlos has built as he finally tells me to look at the screen,"See this Alize, it saying that there are unusual amounts of this plutanium in your blood stream. It seems to be mixed with some unknown chemicals that are not popping up on the screen." I rub my chin and play with the hairs until a question pops up and I ask,"When will my powers come back?" He reads for a minute and constantly says no as he tells me," Alize...It says that there is no trace of plasma in you. Or any sign of the mutated genes that gave you your abilities, I think the plutanium they have been injecting into you has permanently destroyed all the power cells in your body and are finishing their job as we speak. I am afraid this means that... you don't have anymore powers..." I take a couple steps back and start tearing as I start yelling,"No this can't be happening! I just got the freaken powers! I want to just be a fucking hero! You know what? I need time to get them back, screw your computer!' I run out the door towards Don's as the raining night soaks me. I stop under a street light to catch my breath, something I haven't done in almost a year! But then I hear a voice, not the demonic one, but another voice in my head that sounds like a elegant version of me. It says,"We are as wet as a tampon dipped in a toilet L to the O to the L!" I am so confused because I don't know if I am going bat shit crazy right now or dreaming. He knew what I was thinking and says,"Look hot shot, I'm you. But I am also me, wait. Where was I going with this? Whatever, the point is you didn't let your smart friend tell you that the government actually took you so they could copy your DNA and create a stronger army with your powers. I was able to read a part of that in the office we were pinned in with Daniela." I look down to the ground and balance myself on the lamp post with my eyes wide open, confused beyond belief that I have an actual other being in my head and that my powers are gone. I then hear footsteps in the distance behind me and think that Carlos is chasing me so I start jogging, taking alley ways, jumping over fences, and when I eventually get back home I knock on the door to see Weebly open it up and hug me as he yells,"Buddy!" I tell him to quiet down because it is night time and go wake Don up for a second.
