Once I walked through the two doors of the apartment building I felt disgusting. It was summer so once you walked into any building you'd get that relief of the AC blowing the coldest air into the building. I started towards the elevator, two bags in one hand, keys ready in the other. Before the doors started to close I heard a low voice yell out.

"Hold the doors!"

I quickly look up at the guy running towards the elevator and I moved quickly to push my arm through the slowly closing doors. Once my hand got into the reach of the doors they quickly shot open again as the man ran inside.

"Thanks, man you really saved my ass then. I left my phone in my apartment and I really needed it a few minutes ago" He chuckles and looks down at me with a large smile. That laugh...I've heard that laugh before. "Hold on..." I say, realising where I know him from. "What apartment are you in?" I ask frowning at him. "517, why?"

"Dude I'm your neighbour, I'm in 516" I smile as his face turns into a shocked one.

"Oh, that's so cool!" He exclaims loudly as he looks at me with a bright look. "Looks like we're made for each other" He laughs loudly and I chuckle at his eagerness for happiness.

"Didn't you also offer to help me when I first moved in?" I ask as he recalls the day. "Oh yeah! I did! How did you go with your heavy linen?" He smirks at me when I roll my eyes.

"The kitchen shit was heavier." I laugh as the conversation ends and it goes quiet.

I hum quietly as the elevator goes up to our floor, quickly checking out the tall man next to me. Once the elevator dings and the doors open, we both walk out, awkwardly staying next to each other. Once we get to our apartments we look at each other, both giving a small smile and a head nod before going inside.

I place down the bags and grab out my new pack of FOUR TOWELS. That's right. Four. Best deal yet. I place them in the bathroom before goi back into the kitchen. I check the time to see if I need to eat.

I sigh as I pull out the bread I bought and the new meats I grabbed and made a sandwich for lunch.

I go sit down and turn on the TV, turning it to the news channel.

'23-year-old Spencer Smith, was found dead this morning in a back alleyway. He was allegedly murdered, but there is no official statement.'

"Damn" I whisper to myself, changing the channel over to something random before getting comfortable and finishing my food.
