Jay's POV

"Today my boy, you will become Alpha. I just know that you will make me proud son." I looked up to see the beaming face of my father. His aging face showing so much pride, that I couldn't restrain the smile that was emerging on my face.

My father was the alpha of the blood hound pack in north califonia. He made it his mission in life to train me in the ways of the alphas, in the hope that I would become a powerful and well respected alpha. My mum helped him by feeding me and taking me out for runs from a very early age. I loved my mother more than anyone, that's why when she got killed by a rogue, the day she was supposed to deliver my little sister. I made it my mission to kill every rogue that enters into my territory when I took on the role of alpha.

The death of my mother had a bad affect on my father. He shut himself away to the point where he couldn't make the most symple of decisions. His beta( my best friends dad) had to take control of the pack untill my dad regained his sanity.

I knew my dad more that anyone but my mother so I knew that the promise that he made to my mum( to do what was best me) would overrule his depression, so when I told him I was ready to become alpha he slowly but surely snapped out of it and set out to set dates and all that... planning stuff. Seriously whats the point I coulr have just done it at home instead of booking venues.

I was going to become alpha in less than two days and if I told you that I wasn't scared then i'd me lying to you. To be honest I only told my father that I was ready because I knew it would revive him.

I was sat down on my bed and could feel the nervousness quickly seeping throuth my body, I decided I needed to meet up with the boy and discuss roles because I was going to need a beta, third in command, guards and inforcers.

I quickly mind-linked nick to tell him to meet me, only to find out that he was banging a chick from school, stacey... or something.

"stupid horny dog, get your ass down here NOW and round up the boys pronto." Thankfully my voice showed no sign of nervousness.

"Spoil sport." Without even looking at him I could tell that he had that stupid smirk that he had adopted as his.
