"What is is (Y/N)?" Ross asked with fear in his eyes.

"My ex got a hold of my phone number and called me. He cheated on me with my best friend. He was trying to get into my head like he always did, but I didn't want that to happen. So, I told him to never speak to me again. I am so sorry if I worried you," I whispered that last part because I felt so embarrassed.

"Hey no worries if you're okay. You are okay right?" Max asked looking at me.

"Yeah, let's just go inside and have fun... plus I am freezing!" I laughed.

Max, Jess, Barney and Adam walked inside. As I was following behind them Ross stopped me.

"Hey (Y/N), can you open my present for you first?" Ross asked sheepishly.

"Yeah, but can we go inside first, I am going to freeze to death!" I giggled. Ross laughed and we walked inside.

Once we were inside Ross handed me a small box. Aleasa was in the kitchen making dinner, Mason was with Adam. Max, Jess and Barney were playing Mario Cart like crazy people. I smiled, it felt so nice and loving here. I sat staring at the box in my own little world. I tore it open to see a black ring box.

"Oh, Ross..." I started to tear up. I opened the box to see a golden ring with golden leaves.

"So you like it?" He asked laughing a bit.

"I love it! Thank you... does it mean anything special or just a ring?" I looked in to his eyes. It seemed as if the world around us stopped.

"It's a promise ring. That after you leave Washington that you won't forget about me, or our time together."

"Ross, nothing in this world could make me forget you. You are everything to me, and I want you to open my gift. It may not be as awesome as your gift but hey I like it!" I laughed handing him the box.

~Ross' Perspective~

As I opened up the box I see a gray hoodie.

"A hoodie?" I look at (Y/N) questionably.

"You dork look at the front." She shook her head laughing.

I turned the hoodie around to see it was a picture of two squirrels. One had a red ribbon on it. At the bottom it said, "Together in the Trees."

"Oh, (Y/N) this is so adorable! I love it thank you!" I gave her a big hug.

"HEY! You should have told me we were opening presents!" Jess laughed.

That night everyone laughed and ate cookies and spaghetti. (Y/N) and Ross kissed under the mistletoe. Barney went home first. Jess was next so she could see her kids. Max left, Aleasa went upstairs with Mason. Adam followed behind.

Ross and (Y/N) cleaned up the left overs from the party. After they cleaned up they sat on the couch watching Christmas Movies. Slowly they fell in love with each other, and loved every moment of it.
