Chapter 34 - Prove it!

*Ritu's POV*

Sadness. Confusion. Guilt. 

These are the only three emotions that I could feel. I don't know what to do.
I didn't expect Ric to know about it.

He was still good to me even though he knew about it.
I go behind him.
I run towards my classroom with the hope that Ric would be there.
He wasn't there. 

I go to my desk and find a note which said,
Don't try to look for me, you won't find me. I'm going to submit the project.
Goodbye
Ric.

I think I need to go to Vida. She's the only one who can help me out.

*Vida's house*

*Vida's POV*

I was halfway done with my work. It was all because of Liam.
He'd helped me out.
As I was checking out the pictures from my last photoshoot, I find a picture of Liam.
He was looking so cute in that. More than cute.
I was staring at his picture not even realising that he's there in the same room.

" So, you adore me, don't you?", says Liam.
" I never", I say.
"Well! Then, why were you staring at my picture?", he asks.
" I wasn't staring at it! I was just looking where the focus was whether it was on your eye or mouth, that's it.", I say.

"How much ever you try to deny it, I know that you like me.", he says.
" Even I-", I was interrupted by Niall.

"Guys, someone just rang the doorbell! I think it's pizza! I'm going and checking", says Niall.

" No, Niall! The last time you opened the door you scared that poor delivery boy! I'll open it", I say coming out of the room.

"No way! I'm opening", he says running towards the door.

Liam and I go and sit on the couch.
It's just a waste of time and energy arguing with Niall.

He opens the door, enthusiastically.
But his smile fades away when he finds Ritu standing there.

Ashley started laughing.

" Looks like your pizza is here Niall", I say sarcastically.

Niall pouts.
Ritu didn't laugh at all. She looked upset.

"Vida! Can we talk, privately?", she asks.
" Yeah! Sure!", I say.

"Guys! I'm going up, I'll finish taking out my stuff from my luggage", says Ashley leaving.
" I'll go and help her", says Niall.

Suddenly, Liam's phone rings.
"Guys even I'll leave! I just got a call, Vida I hope you'll finish your work if you need any help call me!", he says

He kisses me on my cheek and leaves.
" Bye Liam!", I say.

Ritu and I go inside my mini studio.
I think something is wrong. She was never like this.

"Ritu! What's wrong? What happened?", I ask.
She was quiet for a few seconds.
After that, tears start rolling down her eyes.

" Ritu! What's wrong, tell me!", I ask.
"Vida!! Ric.... he.. got.. to know that I don't love him!!", she says crying.
" What? How?", I ask.

She explains to me how he got to know and what happened in their college.

*Ric's POV*

It's all over.

I bad. Terrible. I loved her so much. But! I don't know what to do.

I didn't even look at her face when I walked away from there.
Maybe, it's all over.

I need to talk to someone. I call Liam.

"Hey! Ric! What's up?", says Liam.
"Liam! Ritu doesn't love me! I don't even know why she was with me all this time when she doesn't love me?", I say.

" Ric! She loves you. She loves you a lot. Do you know why was she with you? She wanted to save your friendship with her. She felt that if she didn't accept your love she'll lose you forever.
I know that she doesn't believe in love. But you've changed her mind, Ric!", Liam says.

"How do you know that?", I ask.
" Vida told me", says Liam.
" I don't want to believe it, I need proof that she loves me ", says Ric.

*Vida's house*

*Vida's POV*

" Ritu! Everything will be fine. Just go and talk to him.", I say.
"I don't know Vida! I should be happy that he at least got to know that I don't love him. But instead, after he left, I felt lonely. I never felt like that before.", says Ritu.

" Ritu! Believe me or not, you... are. falling for him", I say.

"What? No way! I'm not in love with Ric!", she says.
" Think about it! You have fallen for him. That's the reason you are feeling so bad!", I say.
"No!", she says.

The doorbell rings again. 

This time I run towards the door before Niall came down.
I pay the money and then see Niall coming down.
" Niall, your girlfriend is here!!", I say.
"Shut up, Vida!", he says.

Ashley comes down and says " I never knew that he had such a hot girlfriend." 

Ritu and I chuckle.

"Wait! What about Liam? he left, where will he have his dinner?", says Niall.

Suddenly I get a text. It was from Liam.

Hey!
I'm won't be able to join you for dinner
and tomorrow party at my place.
See you there.

P. S: Don't come with your camera ;)
Liam.

" Guys I just got a text, Liam won't be joining us and-", I say but I was interrupted by Niall.
"Yeah! I know party at Liam's place, he texted all of us.", he says.

" Why do you always tell the lines which I'm supposed to say?", I ask.
"It doesn't matter", his usual reply.

" Even I got a text just now! ", says Ritu.
" Me too", says Ashley.

*Next day: Liam's place*

*Ritu's POV*

I hope Ric comes today. I need to talk to him.
It wasn't a big party at Liam's place.

It was me, the boys, Vida, Ashley and some people from their management.
I was waiting for Ric to come.

Suddenly, the bell rings.
I rush towards the door and open it.
I find Ric. A smile spreads across my face but it soon fades away when I see the biggest nightmare standing right in front of me.

 It was Taylor.

"Can you please move out of the way, I'm here with my date", says Ric.
