If there's one thing Cree Jacobs can't stand about Moorehead High, it's definitely the Ballas' Club—the exclusive clique of boys who frequent some of the sports teams Moorehead has to offer. The boys are arrogant, rude, and just way too overrated for Cree's taste.
Don't tell that to DeAndre Parker, the unofficial leader of the It clique. Suave, good-looking, and athletic, DeAndre knows his potential and that almost all girls at Moorehead would do anything to get a shot at him—almost all except for Cree. Annoying, smart mouthed, and way too uptight for DeAndre's liking, the last thing he would ever submit himself to is taking a second glance at Cree. That is, until one run-in with her sets him off, igniting a need within him to prove a point: no girl can resist the Club.
What starts out as heated contempt turns into something Cree or DeAndre never saw coming as the two find out they have more in common than they thought, and what was first hate quickly turns into friendship. With an overbearing father determined to see him as the next NBA star DeAndre may be risking a lot to be friends with a girl who could possibly take his eyes off the prize in his father's eyes and possibly more.
