Audrey Burns is the outcome of parents that believe they are hippies, and worship her namesake, Audrey Hepburn. Audrey and her younger brother Steve Burns, who happens to be named literally after Steve Burns from Blues Clues, want out of the silly world thy call ‘life’.

Three weeks after Audrey had blown out her fifteen candles for her birthday, her dreams are interrupted by a flash of the future, with a beautiful setting in the past; where she is older and beautiful with proper clothes… and a highly proper man. The first dream starts as her wondering wedding day, one that gets cut short… It’s a dream that no one could ever wish to be interrupted, especially by a cat. And this cat is the most persistent cat ever to be known.

When Audrey amazingly finds herself in the same dream, only a few hours after her wedding, she develops an extra skip in her step, and a yearning for more. But nights later, the dream seems to fade away, and her husbands face seems to disappear… Audrey would do anything to get it back.

Desperate and confused, she obsesses over every memory of the few dreams by writing them down, drawing them, re-enacting them. Her life starts to morph into her dreams, and she finally cracks open into the blissful dreams she yearned for. Her real life isn’t worth her time, and her family is just other faces in a crowd. But so much sleep can cause more damage than lack of sleep…

Audrey can’t sleep anymore; like a very twisted insomnia out to get her. There is only one way to finally get what she wants, and she is more than willing to make her choice. But her life style is becoming worse and worse. And suddenly she can’t separate her real life from her dream life.

I never though killing myself would be so hard. I thought I could get it over with and lounge around my heavenly dreams like Holly Golightly dreams of living at Tiffany’s
