Chapter 17

Bella's POV

He was gone... and I had nothing left, like a whole part of me was gone. He was dead, Edward was dead. He was my everything, my existence... and now hes gone. I dont think I am ever going to be the same again. Discovering im pregnant again, and find my husband.... dead, the worst news in my life. He was gone, I feel lifeless, and empty.... I wanted to see his sweet smile, his beautiful face, his glorious body... smell his wonderful scent.

"Bella?" I heard Esmes soft voice ask.

I looked up at her, sitting straight on the couch.

I nodded my head at her, unable to talk.

"Bela, I know.. it hurts, but you have to be strong for her." Esme told me in her lovable tone

 I looked up at her, trying to make the tears come, but they wouldn't. Pain lashed through my body as I was trying to understand how this would affect my life. It was as if I was empty, still here, but empty. Like a hole was made in my chest and the feeling of knowing that it never would disappear hurt. I was pleading to Esme with my eyes, begging for her to understand.

"Esme, please, I can't! I want to be, but I just can't.." My voice was just above a whisper. My head was empty. My body was empty. I was empty. Even though admitting it hurt, maybe realization hurt even more. I'd never be whole again.
