Chapter Four

"FUCKING FUCKETY FUCK ME!"
Caspar shrieks in a high pitched tone, causing us all to scream, shortly followed by laughter.
"Caspar! Your shouting terrified me more than the actual movie!"
Alfie cackles, throwing his arm around my giggling sister.

"That was a completely reasonable reaction! Did you see that clown?! it just came out of nowhere, I mean what fucking sorcery was that bull-"
I clamp my hand over Caspar's mouth.
"Yes Caspar, scary clown. Truly worth shitting yourself over!"
I snort, letting my chin rest on his chest so I'm looking directly up at him. He pouts solemnly, refusing to meet my stare.

"Oh, is Caspy in a mood now?"
Zoe says teasingly.
"Okay Caspar, that incredibly feminine outburst was totally called for."
Alfie smirks.
"Oh. Ha.Ha. You're all so hilarious I can't take it."
He frowns, turning his head even further away from me.

Wait, what kind of thought is that?

"Oh Casparrrr!"
I say desperately, dragging out the 'r' sound. I press my hand against his cheek and gently push his head so he has no choice but to face me.
He squeezes his eyes shut so he doesn't have to look me in the eye.
"Babe..."
I whisper breathily. In my head I was thinking that it would come out as a joke, just some cheeky banter, but it sounded a hell of a lot more suggestive and sexual than that.

My eyes quickly swivel towards Zoe and Alfie, thankfully their attention has turned back to the movie so they couldn't of heard.
I look back at Caspar to find he's already staring at me, our faces less than an inch apart. I notice that his eyes are studying my face, focusing longest on my lips before quickly meeting my gaze again.

I can't help but notice how beautiful his eyes are, I mean, it's impossible not too. They're the deepest blue, a different shade to mine. So easy to get lost in...

Zoe screams.

Caspar and I jump, head butting each other before I fall back onto the floor, immediately being met by a small black pug licking at my face.

The sound of my sister, my friend and my boy- bestfriend's laughter fill the room. Caspar however, doesn't hesitate to grab me by the arms and pull me up back onto the sofa beside him, despite his uncontrollable giggles.

"My bad! Sorry Joe - Caspar you were right, that clown actually is pretty terrifying!"
Zoe apologises while stifling another fit of laughter.
"Oi little one, you could've killed your poor brother - if Caspar hadn't dragged him up from the firey depths of our living room floor then Nala would've licked him to death for sure!"
Alfie splutters.
"Yeah Zoe! We headbutted each other as well, Joe and I probably both have concussion now."
Caspar smiles jokingly.

I shoot daggers towards my sister and her boyfriend and then turn back to Caspar, raising my eyebrows at him.
He smiles back at me, giving me a cheeky wink before everyone is back to concentrating on the movie again.
