Chapter Three

"Joe!"
Piss off.
"Joe, wake up!"
Go away.
"Josephine!"
I'm sleeping.
"Don't make me scream at you on public transport, Sugg!"

I sigh in annoyance before opening my eyes and stretching subtly.
"Okay I'm awake!"
I finally reply as I throw my bag over my shoulder and accept Caspar's hand to pull me up.

"You slept pretty much the entire way, that was the most boring train ride of my life!"
Caspar complains, stepping off of the train while I have to take a leap.
"Hey, got to have a lot of beauty sleep to be this hot."
I giggle at my own joke.

Wow Joe, that was lame.

"Loser"
He jokes, punching my shoulder playfully as we begin the short walk from the station to Zoe and Alfie's.

"WE'RE HERE!"
Caspar shrieks through the letterbox whilst I bang on the door aggressively - what a team effort.

I hear a scratching sound of paws on the other side of the door and Caspar jumps back in fear.
"It's Alan!"
I laugh, earning an excited bark from Nala inside.

"Stupid dog, fucking scaring the shit out of me..."
Caspar mutters under his breath, I don't have time to take the piss out of him because suddenly the door is open and I'm being yanked into a tight embrace.

"Joseph! My dearest broseph!"
Zoe giggles.
"-oh, and friend."
She says dryly, catching sight of Caspar and giving him the evils.
Caspar gives her a knowing look before leaping forward and wrapping his incredibly long ape-arms around her.
"I know you love me really, Zoe!"
Zoe laughs, hugging my boy- roommate, tightly back.
"It's impossible not to love you Caspanova! Get it? Ay ay!"

The odd sensation of Alan - sorry I mean Nala, licking at my shins is suddenly gone and I realise that Alfie has appeared and scooped the excitable little pug up into his arms.

"Zoe, that was honestly the worst pun I've ever heard in my life. Now are you guys going to stand at the door all day or actually come inside?"
Caspar and I laugh simultaneously.

"You know what, I appreciate the effort that went into that pun, Zo"
I joke, as we all make our way into the living room.
"What effort!"
Alfie exclaims.
Caspar chuckles softly, we both make eye contact and hold each others gaze for a few seconds.

Stunning blue eyes he has.
I can't help but think to myself, but I'm soon snapped out of my trance as Zoe offers us all a cup of tea.
