Chapter 2: The Start
Amy P.O.V:
So, I guess you heard from Karma what happened when we met. Let's just say it only took a day to become the way we did.

When we were 7, my mum let Karma stay at our house and have a sleepover. I got so excited because it was the first sleepover I had and I had always seen the sleepovers on the tv and how awesome they looked. Me and Karma were the best of friends and we knew everything about each other. We planned our lives out. She was going to be a princess living in a castle with her fairy godmother and her Prince Charming, and I would be next door with my Prince Charming and we were going to live right next door to each other forever.

So, the Friday when Karma had arrived and when we were at school, we didn't do any work, we just planned what we were going to do when we got to my house. It was mainly what Karma wanted to do because she kept showing her puppy dog eyes and I couldn't say no. As soon as we got home, we would watch Disney movies, especially the Little Mermaid because it's her favourite.

I had just sat there watching her thinking 'how did people ever want to bully her'. I mean she was my best friend and people were horrible. I always stuck up for her. I even punched this one guy on the face really hard when we were 6 years old. I got suspended and my mum had a go at me, but Karma came round after and so my mom didn't yell at me as much as she would have. I had protected her and so I had gotten in trouble... This is the way the world worked.

After the movies, we danced around the living room eating all different snacks that my mum had provided us with. I never liked to dance but with Karma, it was fun and I didn't care what I looked like. She knew me and she accepted my flaws.

After what seemed like forever, we were both lying on the floor in my living room, tired but laughing our heads off. It was already almost time for bed, and so my mum told us to go and get ready. We raced upstairs into my bedroom and got ready as quick as possible because we had one last thing to do. Karms and I had grabbed a bed sheet and pillows and created a fort. We turned off the lights and each had a torch. It was so quiet. Our fort, where me and Karma were alone and no one could bother us, our own little world of imagination. We made stories and we made promises. This is where we went when we wanted to get away.

My mum finally realised that we weren't asleep because of all the laughing and shouting we were doing and so our fort was no more.

"Amy," Karma whispered.
I replied "Yes, Karms?"
"I'm scared." She mumbled.
I looked at her. She was slightly pouting and her eyes were close to crying.
"Come over here."
I pulled here in my arms. She smiled against my chest. We talked about how amazing the day was, and before we knew it, darkness had overcome us.
