Halloween night"Angel, you want to do something rebel?" My best friend Lana asked with a great big grin.
"God knows..." I face palmed myself with Curiosity, "And what would that be?" I pulled one finger off my eyelids to get a look at her.
Whenever Lana wants to do something it's somewhat scary because, my friend here is a little devil that came from her own world.
"Well my love it's mischief night, I want to do something crazy, and I'm certainly dying of boredom sitting here on a Saturday night."
I dropped my hand into my lap, looking up to my red headed friend light up a cigarette. I nodded for her to go on.
She started with an inhale of her cigarette," I always wanted to egg a house I have never done that." She exhales. "I'm forcing you to do it with me."
Just sitting here in gramma's house and watching reruns of horror films is not pleasing Lana.
I gave her an unsure face, I agreed with a nod.
Both of us lived at our grandmother's house. We basically have no parents or no family but grams. We act like sisters but don't look like sister, me and her we're just cousins. That's what makes us special.
My parents died when I was three, never having a childhood with them was and still is sad but, Grandma made up the years for twelve years now. Lana's story is a little different, when she was nine, Lana lived in a foster home. Her mother was Abusive, used to burn her with cigarettes, beat her up for no reason, and Lana never knew why her mother did that to her. So, Long story short Grams adopted Lana and I took care of us when no one was there. Pity I know!
Grandmother lives basically on a two way high way. The neighbors are really not what you think; actually, her neighbors are a pet salon on the left and to the right of her is apartments filled with people. Her back yard is filled with rocks and trees but, with a path that leads to a big neighborhood.
We ended up grabbing eggs when suddenly, I had this stupid idea.
I laughed a little, "Lana did you ever throw a lemon before?" I grabbed a lemon and rolled it with my hand to make it juicier.
"No dumb ass why would you throw lemons at people's houses?"
"Why would you want to throw eggs at people's houses?" I asked with sarcasm.
She shrugged her shoulders and killed her cigarette. She threw me a burglar mask while she put on hers. "Because I'm bored!" She said with a slight attitude.
I ran up the stairs to Lana and my room to put on some black clothes to blend in with the night. I put my long brown and black wavy hair up in a ponytail. Finally, I slipped the mask on and ready to go.
Running down the stairs, I missed a step and trembled down the last two steps. I landed on my butt when red hair flashed in front of me.
"Hey dip shit are you ready to leave yet," Lana laughed and gave me a hand to stand up.
"Yea nut case." I giggled. A question popped in my head, "whose house are we going to egg?"
Lana gave me a devil smile, making me feel uncomfortable. "That's a surprise."
...
"So you're not going to give me an answer about whose house we're going to egg are you?" I asked Lana.
With that the only answer she gave me was, "fuck no!" And put on my favorite song from Blink 182.
Going through the back of the neighborhood in Lana's 2008 mustang. We slowly drove to a stop at the corning of the street. I looked at what street we were on, Gilmore Street and Hudson road.
