FORCED INTO IT .....

Angel's pov

"You're in Philly!" he puts his hand out to help me up.

Mouth widening even more, I ignored his helping hand and rushed over to the ledge. South Street was literally the view I see right in front of me. The city's night life was pretty busy for a Tuesday night. People going in and out of stores, cars, lights, bars, drunk people walking the streets.

"How the fuck did I get here?"

"I picked you up and ran here it's only a two minute run!" Spinning around, he smiled towards my surprise look.

"It's only a two minute run!!" I put my hand on my head, feeling nauseous from all of this information in one night. "Why is this happening to me?" I said out loud.

I moved away from the buildings ledge and from author. 'Why couldn't this happen another time? I just wanted food, to lie down, and think about all of this.'

Author interrupts my thoughts with a little laugh, " Try to take a breather Angel I only took you so I can talk to you."

"Trying to talk to me? Why couldn't you just meet me at grandma's house or at a diner? We could of met at a different time!" My voice cracked at my attempt to holler.

He sighed in frustration," Angel, I needed you alone. It was an impulse." He rolled his eyes when I gave him a blank stare, " I wasn't thinking straight alright?!"

"Author... Wh- what are you?" I had to ask. Theres to many things going on at one time. Softly his eyes squint and his mouth pulls into a small smile, "I would think you would know already but looks like I move to fast for you to comprehend."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I beamed angrily.

"No don't ask me another question think! Use your brain Angel," he taps his head. "We all know you know what I am."

"We?" I pulled one eyebrow up in question.

"Oh yea! Mr. Benz, Tobias,-"

"It's Antwon!" sternly I interrupted.

"Okay Antwon, Lana, YOUR GRANDMOTHER TINA!"

Backing up I shook my head, "no!"

"Yess!" he hiss. What am I!" he repeated.

"I don't even know what I am," nervously I laugh ", How am I supposed to figure out what you are? I just know you know my father and somehow we are related and..."

"And what Angel?"

I took another two steps back away from him. I guess my brain is slow to comprehend because realization finally kicked in.

"And you're fast"

Gulping the saliva from the back of my throat, "you have fangs."

Taking one more step back when my foot didn't land on the roof but fell off the ledge. Falling backwards, eyes widen I seen Author panicked in slow-motion. I could tell Author was in thought, when his eyes grew larger. My body almost drop finally when someone grabbed my hand and jerked my body back up on the ledge of the building. Author saved me with his inhuman speed and his strength. He pulled my little figure into his chest.

In shock, everything froze: my mind and body, leaving my eyes wider then Author's when he just saw me fall backwards off the ledge.

He gave me a couple of seconds to catch my breath. Slowly he leveled his head and whispered in my ear, "Then what am I?" I felt the chill his breathe made in the back of my neck making me more nervous.
