When I woke up this morning the forecast predicted that it will be a down pour for today. My new job at the USA boxing school was today, and I wasn't really prepared for my new career as an assistant boxing teacher.

Rushing my clothes on, I was going to be late; Fast, I slipped on some shoes, grabbed my necklace out of my chest box and, ran off into the pouring rain. I didn't even have time to say goodbye to Tina and Angel was still asleep at the time. I'm guessing because of the nightmare she had last night.

Speeding through lights, stop signs, until I finally slowed down at another stop light. Looking at the time it was precisely 9:30, which means I have at least twenty minutes to get to my destination in time.

Looking through this foggy miserable windshield, I saw a Starbucks up ahead. Excited I waited for the light to turn green.

Fresh brewed coffee opened up my senses up as soon as I opened the doors to the coffee shop. As I walked to the counter tatty chatter coffee machines and folks around me typing on their laptops all around me. A young teenage hipster girl took my order. Taking a seat near the window, I sat next to a dude who what typing fast on his laptop.

Pulling out my necklace from my pocket I put it on the table to examine it, 'What's so special about this trinket. Why did it freak out Angel like that? Soo, bizarre!'

In the sun light it glisten throughout the whole coffee shop. 'It's beautiful in some ways but, if I'm a witch then, how come I never even get to see my powers? I didn't even know my father was a king, how is that?'

Silence, catching up to my ears. Realizations kicked in when I looked up. Jaw dropping silence surrounds me the whole coffee shop froze in place; the hipster girl froze while she made my coffee, the guy next to me stopped typing on his laptop, looking at my watch the time stopped on that too!

'What's happening?' I thought.

Glancing back at my necklace then, back at my surroundings. I asked myself,' Could my necklace really give me the power to stop time but, the main question is how do I make the world unfrozen?' Rolling up the necklace back up and putting it in my pocket, I counted the seconds in my head when everyone will be back to their business again.

'1...2...3...4...5'

The silence around me bloomed with noise, every one, every sound everything went back to normal.

'Why does the light have so much affect to my necklace?' I thought.

"Lana!" My head shut up of someone calling my name.

Hipster girl brightly smiling at me with my coffee in her hand, thanking the girl rapidly I got back into my car in shock.

...

Running into the house I harried up to open and closed the door. The aroma of the house smelt like home cooked food to me.

Tina greeted me with a smile, "awwwe Lana, your finally home," she put down the cooking spoon that was in her hand and hugged me.

Smiling I hug her back, "What you're cooking grams?"

"Beef stew I just started." She pulled away to look at me. He Delighted smile vanished when she looked me into the eyes. "Honey what's wrong?" she grabbed my chin to only suspect my more.

Shaking her off, I reassured her, "I'm okay grams. Like really... I'm okay."

She smacked her lips together, "No I could tell there's something wrong. Is it that boy you've been friends with?"
