~Clementine's POV~
-Friday
I wake up with with an annoyed grunt as I walk to my bathroom. I take a quick shower and brush my teeth. I curl my hair and put it in a high ponytail. I put on a bit of mascara and some strawberry lip gloss. I decide to wear a tan knit sweater with black details on it. I put on some black leggings. I slip on some tan boot socks and scrunch them down. I wear brown combat boots that fold over.
I walk downstairs to find that my mom has already left.
I make myself a raspberry peach smoothie and head out the door.
When I get to school I hear Ashton call out my name. I simply ignore him and walk to my locker. When I collect my things I need, I dump the rest of my belongings in my locker.
I find Nicole and Katelyn and head over to them. Katelyn and Nicole give me a hug. I hug back.
"He's such a jerk." Nicole starts.
"He doesn't deserve you, nor do you deserve to be treated like that." Katelyn adds in.
"Guys, I'm fine. Don't worry about it." I say as I plant a light smirk on my face.
"Besides, if he wants to be with someone as low as dirt, he can." I giggle, they giggle also.
Just then Jessica comes up to me.
"So looks like I won this battle?" She says smirking
"What battle?" I ask in annoyance
"To win over Ashton?" She says
"Heh, it's more like I surrendered when I found out how low his expectations are" I say agitated
"Heh, well... umm." She stutters
She had nothing.
"Your so pathetic. You act like your so tough, like your so popular, when really everyone is annoyed or scared of you. Your friends aren't really friends but more like scared and desperate slaves. You rule in dictation which nobody wants, so stop acting like your better than everyone else because in everyone's eyes, you're just a filthy vermin that everyone is trying to get rid of. " I scoff and turn to my friends.
Jessica walks away with her head down.
"Wow Clem, you really got it in you." says Nicole shocked.
"I'm just tired of her always making me cry, it was time for her to feel my pain." I shrug my shoulders when Nicole and Katelyn scowl at me.
But it wasn't at me, it had been the person behind me.
I turn to see Ashton.
"I overheard what you had said to Jessica." He says with his hand on the back of his neck
I shrug and was about to turn when he blurts out something.
"What happened to you Clem?"
"What?" I snarl
"Clem yo-" I cut him off.
"Heh you don't have the right to even call me Clem." I scowl at him
"Clementine," he starts again "What I had overheard was not like you. You kinda snapped at her ya know?" He says calmly
"Snapped? You haven't seen me snap just yet." I hiss.
"Clementine, what happened to the girl I knew? The girl who is changing. My gi-" I cut him off yet again
"Your girl? It seems as if I was never your girl!" I yell.
"Clemen-"
"What happened to I want you and only you!?" I say with tears starting to fill my eyes
"I... Clem, I'm..."
"I don't want your sorry. I don't need this. And honestly, I don't need you right now!" I say yelling, choking back the tears.
Nicole and Katelyn make a barrier around me so that Ashton can't get to me. That's when the bell rings and and we walk away, leaving Ashton behind.
