Caster:
Suddenly I woke up and for a moment I was in a complete daze. Where was I? I shot up and looked around. Then, I calmed down, when I realized it was just MY bedroom. My own room, can you believe that!? I barely had anything yet. The only things I have is a whole lot of clothes, and some books and a T.V. When I came home, my mom and dad went on a big shopping spree, getting me anything I wanted.
30 inch Television to! I slowly lay back down on my bed and stretched out, my toes going off the end. I slowly blinked my eyes, and before I knew it, I fell asleep, feeling whole.
Two Hours Later...
"Caster...Caster, wake up. Wakey wakey!" My mom whispered, prodding me with her finger gently.
I sat there as still as can be, still not fully awake.
"Are you awake?" She said into my ear.
I slowly rolled over and stared at her blankly.
"NOW I am mom...Thaaanks..."
She kissed me on the forhead, then slowly rolled up my blinds, letting the morning sunshine cascade across my bedroom floor. I groaned and pulled the blanket over my head, secretly glad she was doing this. You know, it's nice knowing your a normal kid. She whipped the blankets off of my bed and balled them up in her arms.
"Mooooooom!" I moaned, clawing in mid air happily.
"gimmee gimmee!" I said, my eyes still shut.
"Fine." She said flatly, dropping them back on me and walking out the door.
My eyes sprang open as I watched her walk out and all I could think was: Don't go mommy. Hey, Iit's been a year since I've been home, but I still am savouring bein with my family. While it lasts. I'll have to move out soon...
"I guess I'll just eat all the bacon..." She sighed loudly.
I shot out of bed and ran down the stairs, wearing my pajama shorts and tank top, my hair a tangled mess on my head. I sat down on the stool and licked my lips as my dad handed me a plate of bacon. I went to grab one, but as my mom walked past me, she snatched it away and chewed on it happily. I made a little sound of sadness, but ate away at my bacon.
"When your done, go get dressed, we're taking you and Adrienne to the beach." My dad said, his mouth twitching into a smile.
"Adrienne!" I said, sounding like a baby as I said his name.
My German Shepard puppy came trotting into the kitchen and I attacked him with scratches. We had just gotten him about three months ago because I told my mom and dad he was cute when we saw him at the shelter. I know, they do anything for me! Like, wow!
I glanced over and saw my mom staring at a picture in the living room. It was a picture of Jake. I took a shaking breath, and patted Adrienne one more time, before walking towards my mom. She smiled up at me sadly. I sat beside her and sighed as if everything happens for a reason.
"Mom, what he did was bad." I said, rubbing her back soothingly.
"I know, sweetheart. It's just...hes still my baby." She sniffled.
