Glenn glanced around the room, taking it all in. The smell of wet paint filled his throat as he took a deep breath in through his nose and although usually he gagged and coughed at the acidic smell of paint drying, this time he took it all with a huge smile and it didn't bother him.

His eyes did not deceive him; the brand new paint job looked cute as hell. In his unborn baby's nursery in his and his wife's house, the pale blue paint was drying rapidly. Their was no furniture yet (Maggie had made Glenn promise not to move any into the room until she got back), but it already looked amazing.

Rick sat down on one of the upside-down empty paint containers next to Aaron, who was already taking a load-off on the plastic-covered floor. Rick threw his brush rather not elegantly toward the paint roller, missing it by about four inches, but not giving a damn whatsoever...he had just painted a whole room bottom to top, he deserved a break.

Glenn smiled at them and set his paintbrush down as well, walking toward them. Glenn stuck out his hand to Aaron first, and Aaron took it, shaking it and giving Glenn a small nod. Glenn nodded back in his gesture of gratitude as he walked to Rick and shook his hand as well. "Thank you guys, really. This couldn't have happened without you." Rick smiled at Glenn, knowing just how excited Glenn was for Maggie to see it. He and Aaron stood up and as Aaron walked out of the room, Rick put a hand on Glenn's shoulder, squeezing it and giving him a reassuring look of approval. Glenn smiled back (he wasn't even sure if he had stopped smiling the whole time), and listened as Rick walked down the stairs. He could hear Aaron laughing and the beautiful undertone of a giggle that he could tell from a mile away was his wife. His smile gaped across his entire face as Maggie walked into the threshold of the room with a huge smile on her face, surprised and delighted with the room. She looked to Glenn as he rushed over to her, their faces meeting in the middle with a kiss that conveyed many emotions of both relief and joy. Glenn interlock his hands around Maggie's back as hers did around his neck. Glenn lifted one hand to run his fingers through her hair and to pull her head closer to his, and she responded by moving one of her hands down to his chest. Her hand tried to move down farther, due to their time away and her erratic hormone levels, but Glenn stopped her halfway to him by interlocking the fingers that were once in her hair with hers. She smiled, pulling away from the kiss for the slightest second before pulling her hand back up to his neck and kissing him again, this time a good bit more passionate. Glenn's hand found its way to her stomach, and as their faces pulled away and their eyes locked, she put her hand atop his and branded him another huge smile, one that took his breath away (of course, every time Glenn saw Maggie she took his breath away).

Glenn gave Maggie one more peck on the lips before moving back and holding out his arms in a presentational motion. "Whadd'ya think, baby?" Glenn said through his unbreakable smile.

Maggie slid her hands into her pockets, replying, "It's amazing. You did an awesome job, Glenn." her hand moved to her still somehow growing 8-month pregnant stomach. "He's going to love it, I'm sure." That sentence brought the smile on Glenn's lips to an almost jaw-crushing length, as he pulled Maggie in for a hug.

He released, grabbing Maggie's hand and leading her outside to the furniture.
