Lucy's POV
"There you go, I got to see you smile." He smiled at me, he smiled, he freaking smiled!!That's a first.

"You smiled...."I smiled back and I saw him blush at what I said.

We were on the grass with me on the bottom and him on top straddling me, I was blushing at our position but it didn't matter I just put my hand on his cheek, he leaned in and we were about to close the gap and I didn't know why but I didn't stop myself, it felt like the right thing to do, our lips were so close, I could feel him brushing his lips on mine and I could feel the intoxicating breath he's breathing out. I was about to close the gap for us but I felt a hand on my chest and I knew he stopped us from getting any closer. I immediately pulled away and looked the other way.

Gray's POV
I put my hand on her chest as I knew she was still healing from what Natsu had done to her. I felt her pulled away and saw that she looked the other way so I couldn't see her blush but it was too late that I already saw it I quickly got off her, fixed my tie and brushed the dirt off my pants.

I saw her going to stand up and decided that I offer her a hand to help and luckily she accepted it after what had happened between us. After she stood up, I let go of her hand and dug it deep into my pockets when I felt a tug on my sleeve.

"Why did you stop us?" she asked.

"Stop what?" I asked as I had no idea what she was talking about.

"Umm, W-we w-were about t-to kiss a-a-and you p-pulled away. A-am I n-not g-good en-enough?" She blushed at the part when she said we were about to kiss but I could see her fighting her tears at the corner of her eyes when she asked me if she was good enough.

"Hey don't cry please, you have had enough of that and I have a reason as to why I didn't kiss you and it was because you still need time to heal that broken heart of yours and start forgetting about everything that happened and I don't want you to regret anything by kissing me, a guy who doesn't know anything about love and all these things." I explained to her and I saw her widen her eyes.

"Look you are pretty and quite fun to be with and that boyfriend or should I say ex-boyfriend of yours doesn't deserve you. If a man truly loves you, he would love you with all of his heart, he should never leave your side to be with some girl. He would be with you through everything you face, troubles, loneliness, etc. He would spend his time staying right next to you" I said and pushed her hair that was covering her face behind her ear. She widened her eyes at my speech.

"I may have just met you but I want you to heal and pick up the broken pieces of your heart first and if your fully healed then maybe we could start going out and besides I'm kind of enjoying your company and it's nice to hang around you, being with you for one day has already done so many things. Anyway, let's get you home, your parents must be worried." I told her and I let my right hand out of my pocket so she could hold it but instead of taking my hand, she came up to me and hugged me.

"Thank you." She said softly, I decided to let her hug me first and I lifted my hand and placed it on top of her head and patted it. Surprisingly her hair is very silky and soft like a cat's fur but it's much better than cat's fur.

"So shall we go? Your parents must be worried sick about you, come on it's already 6:02, let's get you home."

"Umm Gray, is it alright if you stayed the night, it's rather lonely without my parents around." she whispered burying her head further into my chest.

"Oh your parents are out, let me ask my parents first, I will be back later wait a sec." I told her as I took my phone out and dialed mom's number and told her about staying at a friend's house and she gladly said yes, surprise there.
