Part 2

*Andy's POV*

I move around schools quite a bit cause of my parents. They both had jobs that required them to move around a lot but when they moved to Los Angeles this summer they both told me they were going to retire, which is great cause it's my first year of sixth form (high school) and I can finally stay in a school for more than one term.

As I ran through Brevail High's large metal gates I was already out of breath. The walk to school from my house took me longer than I thought and I was already late. Not to mention on my first day. I ran up the stairs and into the office, signed my late slip and got my schedule. I ran around the school frantically trying to find my classroom and when I finally did I just barged in huffing and puffing completely out of breath. I kinda forgot a class was going on and when I burst in all eyes were on me. The teacher Mr Mason introduced me to the class and told me to sit at the empty seat in the back. I was sitting next to a girl who seemed pretty cool, I mean she was wearing a Greenday top, but she was so thin.

She was muttering to herself completely out of it so I tapped her shoulder to ask for a pen. She was shocked by the sudden contact but gave me a pen. After class she showed me to my next , turns out we had all of our classes together. We finally finished all our morning classes and she seemed a bit more comfortable with me. We were just talking about random things about school until she suddenly looked down and covered her face with her hair. I just looked at her cause I had no idea what she was doing. Until some jackass grabbed her by her shoulders. "Ooh found another fag have we?" He asked well that's just rude. I could see how terrified she looked she whispered something but I couldn't quite hear what they were all just laughing until a tall guys pushed the other guy off her and punched him in the face. They guy fell straight to the ground and Beatrix thanked The guy who helped her. She started walking towards me with the guy. "So Austin this is Andy, Andy this is Austin." "Uh hey" I said awkwardly still wondering why I hadn't done anything to help Beatrix. He replied with a simple hey. He asked Beatrix if she was okay and she said she was and then he said he had to be somewhere so he ran off.

"I'm so so sorry I didn't do anything." I said to her. "Don't worry I can understand, you didn't know." She was still trembling, I can tell there was more behind this than what was on the surface. I was going to ask her but she seemed so shaken up I just pulled her into a hug instead. At first she tensed but then she relaxed into my embrace. After a while she pulled away "Thanks Andy." She looked down at her feet "anytime," I replied. "Shall we go to lunch then?" She asked I nodded and we started walking. It was cute how much shorter than me she was. She looked up at me and smiled and I smiled back. "Is there a um nickname I can call you?" I asked. I mean yeah Beatrix was a great name but it was just too long. "Bea." She replied. I nodded and we continued to the lunch hall

She lead me to a table with a few guys around it one of them looked up at us and waved. Oh shit what if that's her boyfriend. I was snapped out of my thoughts when she ran to the guy who looked up. "Turtle!!" She squealed and they hugged. Oh fuck I hope they aren't together. "Hey Bea," he said smiling at her. "And who is he?" He said referring to me. "Oh shit sorry Tony this is Andy he's new." I gave an awkward wave and shrugged my shoulders jeez why was I so shy. He smiled "nice to meet ya Andy take a seat if you want." I nodded and sat next to Bea. Tony had his arm around her and her head was rested in the crook of his neck. God was I jealous. I was then introduced to the others. They were Vic, Mike, Jaime, Oli, Austin (who I met before) and Kellin. We all exchanged greetings and they seemed pretty cool.

Soon after lunch was already over, so we said goodbye to the rest of the guys apart from Tony and I was directed to our music class. Yes, my favourite lesson!! The teacher Ms Carmel was really nice and since I was new I had to play a little something. My main strengths were singing and screaming but I could play guitar too. I've been working on a few songs so I decided to play one of them I chose Knives and Pens and I started to play. I accidentally may have looked at Bea the whole time but she was smiling so I guess that means she liked it. When I finished the class clapped apart from the cheerleaders who looked at me in disgust, which I really couldn't give a shit about. I handed the teacher her guitar back and sat back down. Bea passed me a note which said wow that was amazing!! Wanna hang out after school? I mouthed her thanks and nodded yes. She smiled and turned her attention back to class. Ms Carmel was talking about different rhythms and the class ended pretty quickly. After we had art, so we said bye to Tony and then headed off. School ended quickly after so I just looked at Bea kinda waiting for instructions. She grinned ear to ear " new to the area Andy?" I nodded. She did a weird little happy dance before flushing pink realising she just danced in front of me. I just laughed and she looked at the ground and pulled me somewhere. I followed her for about 10 minutes, she was on a skate board so it was kinda hard to keep up but I managed. We reached a medium sized two story house and she put her key in the lock.
