I sat up on my bed after hearing a sound coming from downstairs. I put the book that I was reading on my nightstand and looked at the time on my alarm clock. It read 3:00 AM. Wow, time flies really fast when you were too absorbed reading The Hunger Games Series. I walked out of my room not bothering to put on a robe over my thin sleep gown that could be considered as lingerie.
I descended down the stairs. It couldn't be mum and dad since they told me they would be gone untill the day after tomorrow. My sister, Elle was out partying and most likely won't be home untill tomorrow. And me? I have nothing against partying but since it's Christmas I want to spend my time cuddle up in my bed and watching movies.
I saw a silhouette of someone under the Christmas tree that my dad bought. Even though we didn't celebrate Christmas together, he insisted on buying the Christmas tree so we can put our presents under the tree and keep the Christmas spirits alive in the house. I snorted at the thoughts before remembering that someone was in the house and that the person wasn't suppose to hear me.
I grab a baseball bat that I found next to the stairs. How it was there? Don't ask me. I don't even know myself. The person was still doing god knows what under the Christmas tree. I flicked the lights on and was about to swing the bat to attack the person when I saw, "Santa?"
The Santa grinned showing his pearly white teeth and said, "Ho ho ho. Merry Christmas Nova!"
I raised my eyebrows. "What are you doing here?"
The 'Santa' scratched his neck awkwardly. "Uhm, putting your present under the tree."
I narrowed my eyes at him before giving him a sultry look. "Santa you don't mind if I do this?" I looked at him to see him checking me out. I walked provocatively towards him and stood in front of him. I put my hand on his shouder and squeezed it before trailing my hand over to his face and ripped off his fake beard. I smirked at him. "Aha, busted. You think i'm stupid?"
Douglas Handerson, the bad boy of the school stood in front of me with a deer caught in the headlight look on his face. He cleared his throat and smirked. "I've heard that most people like to sit on Santa's lap. Don't you wanna try while I still had this Santa outfit on? Or you prefer it off?"
I raised the bat that I didn't realised that I was still holding and raised it in front of me warningly. "Get out or i'll bash your face with this bat."
"Geez, calm down cupcake." He stood there with me still holding the bat in the air. "The beard?"
I tossed the fake beard at him. I scrunched my nose in disgust at the thought that I just touched that thing. I know it's fake, but still weird. "What are you waiting for? Get out." I yelled at him.
He smirked and walked out the door. What the hell is he doing here in my house? And most importantly why is he dressed up as Santa with that beer belly that I know is fake. Come on, he's Douglas Handerson. He is the bad boy. Every typical bad boy has abs right?
Wait, did he just walked out of my house without saying anything innapopriate? "By the way, babe. You look beautiful and sexy in that lingerie." Spoke too soon.
I chased after him and shouted. "It's not a lingerie. It's a sleeping attire."
All he did was hopped in his car -that was drove by his friend- and winked at me.
I shut the door and groaned. The only reason why I wear this nightgown is because 1) It was a gift from my dearest aunt. Every time she come she would give me this skimpy nightgown. 2) It's comfortable. Even though some people may call me heartless but family is my weak spot and maybe abs too.
I walked towards the Christmas tree and plopped down on the floor. I looked at the box wrapped in a shiny red wrapping paper with a card attached to it. I grabbed the box and put it on my lap. On the card was written my name in Douglas' sloppy handwriting. We used to work on an assignment so I recognized his handwriting.
I went up to my bedroom and laid on my bed not before putting the box under my bed. I closed my eyes drifting to sleep.
