Chapter 4 - The town of Resukyu

It was almost noon when they got there. To Katsu it was a relief that they could finally stop running, although to his amazement that Takao seemed to not want to stop running. Instead, he ran the middle of the town shouting, "HELP!" "PLEASE HELP ME!". Katsu struggling to keep up shouted to him "Follow Me" Takao wasn't in a position to argue so he ran towards his newly made friend.

They came to a little cottage at the end of the road, it was brown and the roof was more of a yellowish colour thatched to the top. Even though it swayed with the wind and looked like it would collapse at any minute, it had a strange homely aura, at least compared to the rest of the town, where everyone else seemed to be in a rush, this little independently coloured cottage seemed to be standing still.

Katsu knocked on the door politely, but with noticeable haste. Takao saw out of the corner of his eye, an open window on the side, when he looked and an old woman's head pop out and made him jump. "ah, Kat – Back so soon?" She was kind and sweet and when she smiled it reassured you that you had nothing to fear. Quite unlike Katsu's, he didn't took very happy "actually, we have a problem" He shouted up to her gesturing to Ren. The lady brought her head back in and a few seconds later, the door opened and she came wobbling out. "Oh Dear!" she said as she saw Ren. "come on in and just set her on the armchair here" so they walked in and mounted there was a bright, warm fireplace and an armchair and a sofa for three people in front of the fire. Takao gently placed his sister on the comfy armchair and Takao sat down on the sofa with Katsu. The lady came back into the room with home made cookies, warm as if they had just come out of the oven, "these are Kat's favourites, I used to make these for him all the time" She giggled "Oh, I almost forgot, my name is Amaterasu, but you can call me Ama" She said with her kind eyes and her reassuring smile, as she gave him the tray of cookies "mine is Takao" he replied. "I'll fix your sister up then!" she said with a smile as she started to walk out of the room "Wait!" Shouted Takao to her "how did you know she was my sister" she stopped, turned around and winked at him, then continued walking. This sent chills down Takao's spine. When she came back she told Katsu to show Takao around town and assured Takao that Ren would be fine, she just needed some time alone.

They left and Katsu showed him the market stalls, the cafés and more. Then finally Takao gathered up enough courage to ask him. "so, who was that woman, I mean she seemed nice and all but I thought you said you'd been alone you entire life" Asked Takao curiously. "ugh,  its a long story, ill tell you over dinner, I'm starving" So they walked to the nearest restaurant and stepped inside and immediately got served by a young woman, looked around their age, although she was shorter than them, she had bright blue eyes and short brown hair. "may I take your order, the menu's up here." she said pointing to a big board above her head that had at least 50 items on it. "ill come back when you have your orders ready" she smiled as she walked off in the direction of the kitchen. "I thought it would be more expensive than this" Takao pointed out. "well that doesn't matter because, its on me, believe me, those people we fought were rich – they didn't need it all" he said with a smile and a cheeky wink just before he once again started staring at the menu. "so, what do you want?" said the waitress. "ill have a large triple cheese burger and salad for Ren" Takao told her, she stared at him for a minute and then looked at Katsu "ill have the buffalo and chips please" Katsu said politely. "ok if you need me, just ask. The names Yori" she smiled as she, once again, walked towards the restricted staff area of the kitchen. As they sat down at their table, they saw that Yori was already bringing them their food. They started eating as soon as possible, they were so hungry they forgot what they were meant to be talking about.

When they were finished Takao picked up Ren's salad and was ready to go back and see her. So they walked back to the pretty cottage at the end of the road, and knocked on the door
