"Take a right here!" I screamed turning the map around in my hands. It was rather dark out and I could barely see the darn thing but we didn't have a choice at the moment. The wheels screeched on the road and the van whipped around. All six of us within he vehicle went flying to one side. Seth kept his eyes on the road and his knuckles turned white from holding the wheel rather too tight. I fell on top of Kevin and Mark on top of me. Clearly we all had neglected to put our seat belts on. Devon gripped the dash with all he could and had his eyes tightly closed. From behind me I could hear Owen struggling to keep the machine gun upright.

The commotion in the van was almost non understandable as we were trying to pull ourselves off of one another. Mark took my small hand in his and used all his might to pull me back up quickly so that I would be capable of navigating us once more, although that did not seem to be going all that well to begin with.

As I was pulled upright I got a fast glimpse of headlights behind us. Two sets, traveling one right behind the other and taking that turn almost as fast as we did.

"Oh shoot!" I yelled.

"What Sam?" Seth asked from the driver's seat looking in his rear view mirror.

Sam, my name, short for Samantha of course. the dreadful name my parents had given me when I was brought into this world. However, I have forgiven them. Although we are not really on speaking terms at the moment. They haven't the slightest idea as to where I've taken my life or what I have gotten myself into.

Seeing the vehicles by only their headlights Seth hit the gas.

"Dude!" Devon said beside him holding on for dear life once more, he really can be a wimp at times, "what's the plan?"

"Yeah man," Kevin said from behind the driver's seat, "you can't just drive crazy out here in the dead of night."

"Relax, relax," Seth gestured with his hand.

"Owen!" he proclaimed to the back of the van.

"On it!" Few clicking noises were heard then the sound of Owen strapping himself in which was our cue to hold our ears and stay down.

With the smashing of one button the back doors flung open and the second they did shots were fired. Owen was the first to shoot and take out the passenger of the first following vehicle. Then he went on to grace the driver causing him to spiral out of control knocking the next van slightly off course until he regained his awareness.

More shots and even more bullet holes in our van were made. I could tell by painful cries that Owen's bulletproof vest was preventing him from taking any direct hits but that he would be severely bruised in the morning. Then one cry let out by the boy caused me to jump up only to have Mark tighten his grip on me. I looked him in the eyes and I knew that look all too well.

"Don't go up there, no matter what your instincts say, stay down and you'll live. Get up to check on him and you'll both be dead," his eyes said to me.

My muscles only slightly relaxed because I still knew my friend was hurt. Bullets ripped through the seats and were instantly flying over our head. Seth stayed focus on the road, bullets bouncing off of him due to his full body bulletproof armor. The rest of us were only shielded by the seats. The only reason Seth wore that was because if the driver's safe then we all have a better chance of living.

Owen did refuse to were more than a vest just because he said it restricted him from being able to do more. After a while I expected everyone's ammunition to run out but the longer things went on the more movie like this scene seemed to become.

Shots went over my head and I could barely hear Seth yell "Hold on!" from the front. Right before his big move was made, Owen's shooting ceased and I felt a sharp pain through my shoulder. My left arm was immediately numb and I held my breath so that I wouldn't cry out.

Up ahead I could see a large wall. It was out of view to the remaining van behind us and for a moment I thought Seth was prepared to end it all, to sacrifice us in order to take that vehicle and the people in it down with us. Especially when he hit the gas even harder than he had before. We approached it and just as we were about to come into contact with the wall, Seth took ahold of the wheel and pulled it to the right. The van behind us was not expecting this and before they could stop they found themselves being consumed by the explosion of their vehicle running straight into the brick foundation.

Our van tumbled and rolled, as it was not physically possible for it to stay upright after that sharp of a turn. We tried holding onto each other the best we could but in the end, the lack of seat belts was a mistake. Devon and Seth had been wearing their's, Seth because he's the driver and Devon because he was honestly scared for his life. Mark, Kevin, and I were too busy with navigation and everything else that had to be done that it didn't even cross our mind.

When the van came to a halt, turned completely upside down, we all moaned in pain. I swear I heard Devon cry but I wasn't about to say anything after what had just happened.

"Ugh," Seth said looking around the vehicle, "is everyone alright?"

Devon let out a cry but from what I could tell he was fine besides a few cuts and bruises. Kevin looked himself up and down and he was okay was well. I looked to the back of the van as Mark announced to everyone that he was okay.

"Owen?" I attempted to yell for him but it came out as a soft cry of a whisper. I pulled myself out from between Mark and Kevin. The glass from the shattered windows dug into my arms but I continued.

"Sam?" Seth said trying to see what I was doing. He fiddled with his buckle and the longer it took him the more violent he became with it. Finally it came out and he fell hard against the top of the van. He pulled himself out just as quickly and everyone followed, even Devon as he cried.

I was already out of the ran and in search of Owen who had fallen from the back of the van as we rolled. I dug into my pocket when I didn't immediately see him. I quickly found his name on the small screen in my hand and clicked the emergency bottom so that the tracker under his skin would alert me to his location.

The thing began blinking just as I spotted him. I ran towards him and the rest of the boys soon followed me. I fell on my knees due to a loud gun shot fired my way. Luckily it didn't hit me directly but it did leave a decent cut along my thigh. Looking up I could see someone I did not recognize, but the cut across his face told me it was the man who had been driving the first van, he doesn't give up does he? He kept the gun raised and went to shoot again. A shot was heard but this time the man fell to the ground. I turned around to see Seth with his gun out of its holster and in his hands.

Turing my attention back on my target I pulled myself along with my one good arm until I reached Owen's motionless body.

I grabbed his shoulder and turned him so that he was laying on his back. Bullets were implanted all along his vest and blood trickled from his temple. Slowly he turned his head and blinked his eyes several times to see me.

"Did we get 'em?" He asked with a playful grin.

I laughed and nodded with a joyful smile, "We sure did."

He tried sitting up but fell back again. Now I could clearly see it, there was a bullet with in his arm and blood flowing out all around it.

"Crap," Seth, the clear leader of the group, said when he got over there. He then proceeded to rip off the bottom of his shirt and begin tying it tightly around his arm. Mark helped me to stand and I leaned on him. I looked down to my shoulder and saw blood rowing down from it. I held my hand over it to slow the blood lose. There wasn't much I could do about the cut across my leg although it burned like Hades.

"Kev, come 'ere," Seth instructed and together they lifted Owen off his back and held him up with both his arms slung around them.

"Hey boss," Seth said holding down a button in his ear piece, "we are gonna need a pick up."
