Darkness can't get rid of darkness: only light can do that. Everyone needs a light in their life to help them shine. Whether that be a hobby, a friend, or love.

Love.

Love's a weird conception if you think about it.

There is never a right time or place for love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, life changing moment. And then there's nothing you can do about it. You can't rewind time and change it. You're stuck with it. For as long as it lasts, be that a day, or a life time.

It makes you most vulnerable. It opens your eyes, opens up your heart to many great, and many not so great experiences. It means that someone can get inside your head and mess you up, big time. Without you necessarily allowing them too.

But it also means one can help you with the darkness you hold. They can be the light you need.

Louis.

Louis made Harry want to do good, want to shine. He wanted to be great. Do great things. He made him want romance. But not the silly romantic stuff like chocolates. Harry doesn't want roses or shooting stars. He doesn't want diamonds or gold.  He wants to fall asleep, and wake up, knowing his heart is safe with Louis. He wants to roll over, and see Louis' delicate body laying right next to him. He wants to go to the park, and hold hands, feeding the ducks. To keep him safe, and hold him close, forever. To never leave Louis, to always be right there, over and over again, for a life time.

But did that mean he loves Louis?

He couldn't seem to figure it out.

Surely he doesn't love him, he just has a crush right. Surely he can't fall in love within 2 weeks? Love at first sight was meant to be just bullshit to Harry. But here he is, sitting in a cell rotting away, and all's he can think about it Louis to keep him going.

His smile, his laugh, his eyes, his lips, his soft velvety voice. The way he gently touches Harry. The way a simple shoulder brush seems to hold so much fire and magic.

And suddenly, the rotting cell didn't seem so bad. Even as he sits with wounds across the back of him, life doesn't seem so bad.

Not when it comes to Louis being in his life.

"So there's nothing going on between you and Harry?" Tom asked for the third time as they walked over to the asylum.

"No." Yes, Louis subconscious reminded him.

"Uh so will you like...come to dinner with me next Friday?"

Louis mentally groaned. He didn't want to go on some poxy dinner date, he saw Tom as nothing more than a friend but then if he didn't go, Tom would suspect something between him and Harry.

"Sure." Louis smiled as he left Tom, walking in the opposite direction.

As Tom walked away, he nodded to the warden, leaving the warden with a wicked smirk across his face that Louis failed to see.

Louis looked around making sure nobody was watching before taking a turn down the opposite hall to the therapy room. He strolled down the dark hall way, screams and laughs bouncing off the walls as the lights flickered.

He jumped when a large man with blood on his hands hit the metal cell door, screaming something inhumane.

Louis took a deep breath and carried on down the hall way. He was relieved when the key he had managed to slip from Tom's jacket unlocked the end cell.
