Our eye fluttered open but quickly shut closed from the bright light. We opened it again and it took several blinks to adjust to the lightning. We stared at the ceiling for a few minutes just to regain our thoughts.

"What happend?" I asked him while we sit up and examine the room we're currently in. "I don't know? Last thing I remember is seeing our parents." I smiled inside our head at his slip of the tongue.

"You just admitted-"

"I admit nothing!" He booms in our head using his Alpha voice. He thinks it makes me submit to him but he always forgets that it's my voice too. We look around again and see that we're in the infirmary.

We lay back down and close our eyes, relishing the silence. Though everything is short lived once we heard the door open softly. We took a peak at who the intruder was, already in an attack position but we saw it was just our mother.

"She's not our mother!" Gage yelled, again. "Would you quit whining like a little pup? Gosh you're worse than those babies at the nursery!" I yelled at him but immediately regretted it. I knew how he felt about the nursery.

We volunteered there all the time, helping to clean diapers, feeding the kids, playing with them but what we really enjoyed was when we got to do arts and craft with them. It was the cutest thing, you'd tell them to draw anything that comes to their minds and they'd immediately have an idea.

That's basically the only thing Gage cared about after we lost our adoptive family. Staying in that cell, we would always think back on memories we shared with our family and with the kids.

They're gone now.

It was the one time Gage ever refused to follow an order after the medallion was placed around our neck.

They brought in this kid who immediately reminded us of a little boy named Maver. He was the cutest thing we had ever seen but when we saw that little boy in our cell, Gage lost it.

He took so many beatings but he still would not harm that little boy. Then they did the worse thing imaginable for Gage and myself. They threatened to harm the nursery if we did not kill this boy.

That was a low blow for Gage and myself. Gage always thought of those children as his own pups. They took it away from us.

Gage killed the boy but they lied. They still went after the nursery. It held over 50 kids and then over 20 staff members.

They burned it down.

Whats worse is that they recorded the whole thing. You could hear all of their screams. It haunts us almost every night.

"Could you please stop thinking about that?" Gage whimpered inside our head. I stopped thinking about it and we turned our attention to our mother.

"Are you feeling better Theo?" She asked us with a soothing sound too her voice. We nodded our head but said nothing. "Do you know why you passed out?" She asked, trying to get us too speak. I'd love to talk with her but Gage refuses at the moment.

We shake our head no and she sighs. She sits down gracefully next to us. She doesn't say anything but she only stares at us. Analysing us. We stare back and memorize every detail, well I do. Gage only stares to look at all her weak spots.

"I'm so glad you're okay Theo." She says as a single tear falls down her flawless, beautiful face. We smile at her and its surprisingly a genuine smile. She reaches out to touches us but is interrupted when the door suddenly slams open.
