He breathed heavily. What do you do when you find someone missing? Who do you call? Questions raced through his mind as he tried to calm himself down. It wasn't working. He trembled and grasped the paper tighter. He laid on the pavement and continued to attempt to bring his anxiety down until he could function properly.

She didn't seem unhappy. He wasn't sure if she wanted to be found. She couldn't have gotten far, the note was still fresh, since the last time he visited was 3 days ago.

He began to laugh while laying on the pavement. It was mostly because he was lying on the ground at half-past midnight, partially due to hysteria, and also because it suddenly made sense. There are plenty of perfectly logical reasons to lay on the pavement in the middle of the night, and while he did not know her reasons, perhaps they made sense.

Since he was now on spring break, he had nowhere in particular to be.He wanted to be with her. he would find her. Since he had met her, he felt a little bit less alone. He really didn't know her, and he felt a bit like one of the characters in a dramatic romance. But, the truth is, even in real life there are some people that just thinking about them makes you feel okay again. He did not feel okay right now. Looking around, the woods seemed promising. It was a good place to hide.

Ryn was hiding, she had been for a while. But she was hurt now. The forest had steep hills and ravines, and she hadn't seen them coming. Walking was impossible, and her leg was bent at a very unnatural angle. Her hunger had taken all the strength out of her. She was torn between calling out for help and continuing to be stubborn, and she chose the latter. Breathe in, breathe out, control the pain. Ryn held back tears and lay back down against the cold earth.
