"I was born into a family of musicians. I'm an only child, so my parents sort of poured all their hopes and dreams into me. They gave me a violin when I was two, and piano lessons when i was four, you get the idea. It was what I was supposed to do. No one cared what I wanted to do, no one cared what my interests were. I grew up being absolutely horrid at everything I tried. Then I went off to primary school. And I tried science. Finally I found something that meant anything to me.

"I tried to explain it to them, but they didn't get it. When I got into high school, I secretly dropped all of my music classes and replaced them with things I enjoyed, things I never knew I would enjoy. Everything was amazing. The world suddenly had so much to offer, and I finally took it. Semester grades came in and my parents got to them before I could destroy any evidence. Top of my class, advanced placements, honors classes. They didn't care about any of it. They were outraged. My parents called the school and gave me every class that meant nothing to me. It just seemed so...pointless."
He nodded as she fell silent.
"Cupcake?" He asked.
"Please," she replied, reaching for another. Then she began again.
"So... I ran away. I went to my uncles house. He lives in this town. He's also a musician. I don't know why I thought it was a good idea. He sided with them, kicked me out and told me to go home. I looked for a warm place to stay and got to this little store. When they found me asleep in the grocery isle, however, they kicked me to the curb as well. So I went out to the woods and began to build shelter for the night. It took me about two whole days, carrying some of my supplies from the dumpster in the parking lot. I was dreadfully hungry. I ran out of energy and fainted on my way, in the parking lot. Then I heard you call out to me, and that's about how I got to now."
Ryn looked down at her feet. He looked at his.
"Are you absolutely nuts?" He finally asked.
"Yes."
"You can't just.. I mean... What's your plan? You're starved, your ankle is probably sprained, you're in the news for gods sake! Where are you gonna go?"
She laughed, but she was close to tears, "You know what? I have absolutely no idea. I'm what one might call a free spirit. I'll survive. I'll end up somewhere."
"You mean like the bottom of a valley? You can't do this. You have to face your problems. I can give you a ride home but that's it," He said with frustration.
" I can't go home."
"Why not?"
"I just can't, okay? Just leave me alone," Ryn yelled.
He said nothing, but he definitely looked like he had a couple things on his mind.
"I never should have left you that note," she muttered.
"What do you want me to do," he said slowly.
"Just...leave me alone," she whispered as her voice cracked.
He didn't.
