Chapter 10- The Arena

Lyra's POV

"See those columns of steam straight ahead? They're exhaust cents of some type"

"That'll do", and he landed the ship in there. We exited the ship and walked into this creepy hall. All of a sudden, they started to move.

"Lyra, run!", Anakin yelled when the walls started to come out. I took out my saber and decapitated as many as I could.

We went through this door and I realized it was a trap. The floor from under us disappeared and I fell down onto the machine platform. Anakin still held onto the door. I dodged as many machines as I could do I would avoid being smashed to death.

This droid picked me up and dropped me into this huge bucket. I'm stuck. I looked up to see that they were going into this pit of lava. And the lava was being poured into the buckets like I was in. I was a few away from being melted, when the machines stopped. I looked up to see R2 has stopped the machine. I exhaled and took a deep breathe.

That was too close.

So they captured us... And put us in cuffs. We were about to be exhiled in an arena full of creatures to watch.

So this is how I am going to die? Well, might as well make the best of it. I turned to Anakin.

"I love you", I sighed. His face was in full shock.

"Y-you love me?", he stuttered, then looked down in disappointment. "I thought we decided not to fall in love? That we would be forced to live a lie, and that it would destroy our lives"

"I think our lives are about to be destroyed anyway. I truly.. Deeply love you. And before we die I wanted you to know that", I said and we kissed. It was full of love in passion as I wish it would never end, but sadly the cart began to move and I pulled away.

We were revieled to the crowd and I looked around, then I looked to see Obi- Wan tied next to us, as we were being tied up. I grabbed a Bobbie pin just before they did and started to undo the lock. I got one arm lose, when I looked to see the creatures being let out of their cages.

I flipped over the chain and began to climb up the pole. I reached the top and grabbed the chains the creature was an ugly leopard with a big mouth. It started to climb up the pole, but when it was almost there I whipped it with the chain, and it fell to the ground. Well, not before scratching me in the back. I screamed in pain.

It started to climb up again but I jumped down, swung around the pole and kicked it. It laid on he ground motionless.

It got up again and whimpered. I unlocked the other cuff, and looked down to see Anakin on the other beast, and he ran over the creature that attacked me. I jumped down on the creature and kissed Anakins cheek. He rode off and went after Obi- Wan.

Then when all three of us were on the beast, we were surrounded by droids.

"We just can't catch a break can we?", I sighed.

Just then the Jedi council showed up and held up their sabers I sighed, and saw the droid army come out and the war began.

Then a Jedi threw us extra sabers and we jumped off. I began to destroy all the droids I can, just like the rest of us.

Then after what seems like a forever battle... We were surrounded.
