Aria woke up before her alarm clock went off, turning it off before it started beeping. It was a habit of hers, waking up just minutes before she had to. Mentally exhausted and annoyed she was going to be a new kid in Forks she made her way to her shower.

Yesterday, after her run in with the wolves, Aria had reported back to headquarters and they had made super they arranged everything about her stay there. She was to have a normal life by day, huntress life by night. After spending almost two years, one in a little town in California called Beacon Hills and the rest in Mystic Falls, she was now used to it.

The Venat Hunters, contrary to many hunters, did not simply hunt one species, nor did they hunt every supernatural creature they encountered, they only hunted the supernaturals who could not be controlled. With the Cold Ones, their job was easier, since the Vulturi, who were the ruling family of this vampires, tried to keep everything controlled in order to not be exposed. This time, however, they seemed to be worried with other stuff. Aria was glad, since the Vulturi where one of the main people she was hiding from because of being a doppelgänger. Why? Because Caius, one of the Vulturi, used to have an infatuation with Elizabeth, which was sadly mirrored with Aria as soon as he had seen her when she was young. At that time, he had decided he would wait for her to reach Elizabeths age, which had been 18, and get her to join him forever.

Obviously, Aria wasn't thrilled with the idea.
After getting her still damp hair in a braid, dressing up in her skinny black jeans, a flannel, and her leather short, high-healed (low-healed in Aria's mind since they were not really high- at all) boots and doing her makeup which only consisted of winged eyeliner, mascara, and nude lipstick, she picked a schoolbag that had only a few notebooks and pens and went outside to her truck.

She had never really cared about cars until she had the honor to drive Damon's Camaro,  but in the end decided she needed something that suited her and took inspiration in one of her only human friends who she met in Beacon Hills deciding on buying a similar truck. When she spotted the beautiful matte black Wrangler she fell in love, and now she takes care of it with her life. She would kill whoever dared do anything to her adored truck.

Thankfully, she knew her way around town and was able to make it to school on time. Knowing with such a small number of students she would surely stand out no matter what, Aria still decided yo take her fake eye-glasses and put them on. Even though they didn't help conceal her identity, they made her feel less exposed. She got all of this ideas from her lifelong addiction with superheroes. The hood for her favorite green vigilante, The Arrow, the glasses to 'conceal' her identity which reminded her of Superman and Supergirl, her all-time favorite necklace: a tiny lightning bolt to represent her favorite superhero: Flash, and many other tiny details. Doing this stuff made her feel like she wasn't just passing through life, but actually doing something worth it by helping out. This was also why the girl decided to give herself a nickname (apart from not wanting to be identified) and she chose Artemis because she was the Goddess of Hunt.
Finally stepping out of her truck, Aria instantly felt the looks she was receiving as she made her way through the parking lot. She could also listen to some of the whispers but she decided not to pay any real attention to them. She went to the office first, receiving her schedule and locker combination, and found herself towards her locker.

"Welcome to Forks," a perky voice said as she closed the locker, making her turn to whoever had spoken.  It was a nice-looking girl smiling at her, so she decided to smile back. "I'm Jessica."

"Thank you," Aria said. "Aria, but I like being called Ari."

"Well Ari, has someone already showed you around?"

"No, not really," Aria replied laughing as Jessica interlocked their arms.

"Let me, then," she said as she looked at her schedule.

The rest of the day, various people approached her just like Jessica had. She was thankful people here were welcoming and she had where to sit at lunch. Aria was scared she wouldn't talk to anyone and she'd have no-one to sit with since in all her first days that was resolved in seconds. In Beacon, Lydia and Allison had approached her, while in Mystic she already knew Stefan so she just hanged with him.

"Aria! Over here!" Jessica stood up, calling the ginger over to her table. Aria made her way through the cafeteria trying not to drop her food and finally arrived to Jessica's table.
Jessica introduced her to everyone (although some she had shared classes with) and instantly they went to ask her all sorts of stuff.

"So, why did you move to Forks?" Angela, a nice girl that had also greeted me on one of my classes, asked.

"I wanted a change," I lied smoothly. "Seemed like a nice place to relax, although apparently is not as quiet and tranquil as it seemed."

"You have no idea," Jessica said dramatically. "Forks can be all-"

"Hey," a voice Aria recognized said suddenly, making the ginger turn to face the girl.

"Oh," Jessica said with a forced smile as the girl sat down. "This is Bella."

"Aria," she said easily making eye contact with the girl- Bella.

Bella seemed a bit confused at first but her eyes widened a little after a few seconds as she recognized her. Aria did a little wink and turned back to Jessica, who continued telling her Forks was all kinds of crazy.

"Where did you live before coming here?" Bella asked curiously.

"I move around a lot," Aria admitted, "but before I came to Forks I lived in Mystic Falls."

"I've heard it's really pretty over there," Angela said with a small smile.

"It is," I admitted instantly.

The guys proceeded to ask all kinds of questions until lunch was over. As everyone left to continue their school day Bella stopped Aria.
"It's you," Bella said quietly. "The girl on the woods, Artemis, it's you."

"So the glasses don't hide my identity?" Aria said joking, but Bella didn't laugh. "Yes Bella, it's me. Look, we can talk after school about everything, because I need to know why you know about the supernatural and how you found out, and you probably want to know more about me, so my house after school... deal?"

Bella instantly nodded and we exchanged phones and I told her where to look for me, after that we both ran to our classes. I didn't want to be late on my first day, I'd have to save all those for later.

So, filler chapter.

I wanted to explain where "Artemis" was born. So, I've been reading a lot of Fanfictions lately because a few years back I really adored Twilight and read like every fanfic, seriously. So looking for new ones I realized that I wasn't entirely into any story and I kept coming up with something to change... In the end I decided to give it a try to write one. If it sounds similar to any story I d swear I'm trying to write an original not using any plot I've read so far and my inspiration for Aria came solely from:
Allison Argent, being a huntress and badass af
Lydia Martin, perfect hair and ultra pretty but still pretty badass as banshee
Arrow (yes arrow as i mentioned in the chapter) hiding the face and concealing her identity
TVD, dopplegangers, other vampires, etc
Teen Wolf also for the other werewolves who have not yet been mentioned
Stefan's and Damon's first impressions on Elena: i used this for Caius loving Ari just because of Elizabeth.

Anyway, it's a mixture of various thing's I've watched so far and I thought could add a great plot to a story. Hope you all like it 😊

Another important point: I didn't write ( a xxxx love story) because I want it to develop woth the character and I don't want to give away who she'll fall for or anything of the sort.
