As Aria parked her truck, she couldn't help the melancholic feeling she got when she looked at her new -temporal- house. Her ginger hair fell in messy waves as she stepped out of her car, shutting the door behind her and resting against the car lazily.
Sighing, she realized she couldn't keep stalling. The Hunters had sent her to Forks (even though she had come for her yearly check-in a while ago and everything had been fine), because there had been reports of a rouge vampire in the area. The Hunters were well aware of the Cullens, who she had talked to when she wanted to know how Forks was doing for a while now, never having a problem with the "vegetarian" and pacific family of vampires, and also well aware of the Quileute werewolf pack, who thankfully had a peace treaty with the Cullens and minded their own business in La Push.
Normally, Aria would only come in for a check in with both and would leave the same day; this time, however, she was required to stay until the rouge vampire problem was solved. She couldn't help but feel resentment at having to move because a whole family of vampires and a pack of wolves couldn't handle one single vampire.
Aria's phone ringed, pulling her out of her trance. Looking at the caller ID she smiled, shaking her head amused.
"I've been gone less than a day and you're already checking in on me? I feel loved," Aria teased, actually happy she received the call, it made her feel like she wasn't the only one already missing them all.
"I'm sorry Ari," the guy replied with a soft chuckle. "Just wanted to make sure you made it safe."
"I did," Aria paused, "I will miss you guys," she finished softly.
"Hopefully the job will be done soon and you'll be able to come back," another voice said, making Aria realize she was in speaker.
"I don't know, Elena," she replied. "I have a strange feeling about this one."
"Just please remember not to let them see your face," the guy spoke again. "You don't want another crazy vampire after you just because you look exactly like Elizabeth."
At the mention of Elizabeth, Aria scowled a little. Elizabeth was a well-known vampire who just so happened to have looked exactly like Aria; she was dead now (which Aria was thankful for, since she knew what Elena went through with Katherine) but that made Aria a doppelgänger, which always seemed to 'cause trouble. Even through Elizabeth had not been a bitch when she was alive, she still managed to have captured the attention of many enemies while also being one of the few vampires that had known of the various vampire/werewolf/etc. species since before she was turned she had a child with a hunter... Meaning Aria was somewhat of a descendant.
"Don't worry, I'll be careful," Aria assured them. "I've got to go though, I want to try and accomplish something today. Take care, Elena, Stefan, talk to you soon guys. Say hi to Damon for me."
Both Stefan and Elena said goodbye and Aria hung up.
"Okay," Aria whispered to herself, "let's get this over with."
That said, Aria opened the trunk of her car and started to take her belongings to her new house, being careful with the case that contained all the various weapons.
As soon as she was done she went and changed to more fitting clothes, remembering to add her hooded jacket and dark paint in the upper half of her face for extra measure in her face being covered. Thankfully her hunter vision allowed her to see through the hood easily. On her way out she took one last look in a mirror, loving how she always felt more powerful on her huntress attire. She made sure only her mouth and chin were visible through the hood before taking her bow and arrows and leaving the house. It was already starting to darken outside, which worked in her favor. Looking around one last time she entered the woods, deciding on visiting the Cullens first.
