Chapter 2

Sky breathed in the cool spring air as she linked up with her best friend's Bria and Tia. They started to walk through the park to get to school. Sky asked "Does my nose look ok?".
Bria (the oldest of the twins) said "no it looks fine".
Tia said"you can't keep hiding you're bruises. Mrs.Long asked me If I knew how you got those bruises on your back".
"Whattt??? "She saw them an astonished Sky said. How could she? I always put back on my clothes when everyone leaves the gym locker room. I thought no one was in there".
"Well apparently Mrs.Long saw you and she asked me about it. I told her you slipped on ice that one week you was out of school replied Tia."
Bria said "Aren't you tired of getting beat everyday ". "Why don't you just report her and become your own guardian"?
"Because I have no other family but her replied sky. Yes, she beats me everyday and call me ugly. Yes ,She tells me she hates me & wished she aborted me . What am I supposed to do? She is my mother besides if I do report her ,I'll be thrown in foster care. I don't make enough worker at Burger World to live by myself replied Sky. "
Bria said "You can always live with us at our house . Yes there isn't much space but, we can make it work". "Yeah we can make it work" chimmed in Tia. "I'll think about it sky said as they reached the steps to school."

They enter the school and go through the metal decetors. Brigs High was one of the most dangerous schools in all of New York. There has been six stabbings, 5 gang related shootings and bang outs all in one month. Lastly the drug dealers were vicious when it came to their money. They had no problem walking into the school and beating you in front of everyone. The school was so bad that the city was thinking about closing it down and sending the students to an alternative school. That was the plan until Mr. Burtler became District Supervisor of the schools. He brought along Mrs. Storm. Now Mrs. Storm was a no nonsense marine veteran. She came into Brigs High and changed it for the better. All in a month she got the gangbangers and drug dealer to stop disturbing her school. They wouldn't dare mess with Mrs. Strom. She was able to get the school board to install metal decetors, two police officers at the school at all times(one plain clothed and other in uniform), and well trained security officers. Sky walks towards her locker than gets bumped by the school mean girl and ho. Ho ass Latasha Wethers. She is the head captain of the cheerleading squad and biggest ho you will ever meet. Her ass been ran threw more than Kim Kardashian and her sisters combined.

Latasha bumps into sky on purpose. "Eww! Why don't you watch where your going. I don't need all your extra weight on me "Latasha said. "Yeah watch where your going her two followers Trisha and Serina said. Sky said "bitch watch where your going" and pushed Latasha. Latasha pushed Sky back and the next thing you know a boy yelled "WORRLLLDD STARRRR". Sky was milly rocking Latasha all up and down the hallway.

The hallway was crowded with students and cellphones. "Ohhh shittt, !"said one boy watching the fight. "Daammmn I never knew sky had hands like that" said another boy. "Yooo you deff gotta watch out for the quiet types" said one girl recording the fight. Bria & Tia was right there watching cheering sky on. "That's right sky, fuck her up! said Bria.

Trisha looked liked she wanted to jump in for Latasha but ,she knew the twins was going to fuck her up. Everyone knew not to fuck with the twins,their hands were lethal. Serina on the other hand was like fuck that. She started to pull sky hair and Tia went on her ass. Bria said to Trisha"What's up bitch?, I dare you to jump in. I'll fuck you up just like your home girl's are getting fucked up. Trisha said "Nah , I don't want it, you got it" and continue to watch the fights. Then the security came like a swatt team and yanked the girls up. Sky &Tia were sent into the principal office while, Latasha & Serina to the nurse office. The way sky milly rocked latasha all up and down the hallway,tuh! Let's just say ms thang won't ever fuck with sky again.

Sky & Tia were sent into the principal office. Sky was seeing Mrs. Storm while Tia saw vice principal,Mr.Brock. A not so surprise Mrs. Storm. sat at her desk and looked at Sky. "So what happened sky" said Mrs. Storm. Sky said with a very low voice and tears in her eyes,"she started it". I was just minding my own business heading to class and Latasha bumped me". She said"Ewww watch were your going" and I pumped her back. I said "No bitch watch were your going and then we started to fight "said sky. Mrs. Storm nodded her head and said "why didn't you tell a teacher she pumped you. A now frustrated and angry Sky said "I'm tried of her bothering me and calling me names!!She does this every day!!! I never did anything to her for her to dislike me! She pauses and looks out the window & starts shaking her left leg rapidly. Then she says " I'm tired of people thinking they can treat me wrong all the time! I'm tired of being hurt everyday" said sky as started to cry again. Mrs. Storm gave sky a tissue and came around her desk. She sat in the chair next to sky and hugged her. Sky cried in Mrs. Storm arms for the next 20mins. "Sky I know your going through something right now but, you can trust me. Who else is hurting you?" Is your mom hurting you to at home" said Mrs. Storm. Sky pulls away from Mrs. Storm and said in a very low voice "no ,why would you think that?". Mrs. Storm said "Well Mrs.Long informed me on the bruises she saw on your back. All of your teachers and I have been watching you lately. We can tell something isn't right. If your mom is abusing you she needs help and has to stop." Sky said in her low voice "the only person that is hurting me, well was is Latasha. She was bothering me everyday for 2 years now". A not so convinced Mrs. Storm looked at sky and said"well if anyone ELSE is hurting you ,just know I am here for you to help stop them". Sky nodded her head and asked"how long am I suspended "? Mrs. Storm said "well since this is your first time ever getting into any trouble, you have after school detention for the next 30 days starting today". Now I believe it's about to be 3rd period and you have gym class. Come back after last period and we will discuss the terms of your detention". Sky nods her head and walks to gym class.
