As Honey Lemon approached the counter at the Lucky Cat Café, she ordered the same thing as always, but had some lemon and blueberry cake for today. Considering that it was her birthday!

After she paid and turned around, she found a familiar face sitting at a table, nearest to the door. It was Fred. She walked towards him to say hi and to ask what he's doing for the day.

Once she arrived at his table, she noticed a small present lying next to him on the seat. "Hey Fred! Nice seeing you here!" She said with a cheerful smile.

"Oh," Fred said, fixing his posture, "Hey, Honey! I'm just here to get some breakfast. Happy Birthday by the way!" He said, handing Honey the gift.

"Thanks! I was here to get some breakfast as well. Mind if I open this now?" She said, pointing at the present.

"Sure. Hope you like it!"

As she unwrapped the present and opened the cardboard box underneath, she saw a cute phone case and a really cute sweater underneath.

"Wow Fred! I love it!" Honey said, hugging both the items in her arms. "Thank you so much!"

"Eh, it was no problem." He said, waving it off. "Any plans for your birthday?"

"Well I got gift cards to my favorite stores in the mall. I was gonna go shop-"

"Say no more!" Fred said, abruptly standing from the seat. "I'm going shopping with you since no one else can!"

"You don't have to do that." Honey said, frantically waving her hands back and forth.

"I don't care! We're going on an adventure!" He responded, pulling her to the exit door.

"Wait! My cake!" She said, stretching her hand in the direction of the table.

"Cake can wait! You're going to have the best birthday day ever!" He said, pointing excitedly at the sky.

-----At the Mall-----

"Ooooo! Fred look!" Honey said, pointing at one of her favorite stores. "They have a sale on sweaters! We need to go there immediately!" She said, pulling him to the store.

Fred watched as Honey ran back and forth to each of the racks, picking out cute clothes and other stuff. He too, in a short while, started picking clothes for Honey to try on. He did say that Honey would have the best birthday day ever.

"I don't really like this color on me, actually. Can you hand me the one over there?" Honey asked Fred.

He grabbed a light pink colored sweater from the chair next to him and handed it to Honey Lemon.

"Thanks! Can you go pay for these clothes," She said handing him a four sweaters and a cardigan. "Here's the gift card."

As she set the gift card in Fred's hands, she went back inside the fitting room to try the light pink sweater on. Turns out it was too small for her and they didn't have any bigger sizes in stock.

Fred watched as the cashier scanned the items and put them in a bag as she went. He handed her the gift card and she took it from his hands, about to slide it on her side of the checkout desk.

"Having fun shopping with your friend over there?" The cashier woman said, directing her eyes toward Honey Lemon.

"Yeah, it's her birthday so I'm spending time with her since all of our other friends are on vacation."

"Why didn't you two go with them on vacation? That would've been fun for her birthday!" The woman said, handing the card back to Fred.

"All of them are in different places. It wouldn't really work out." He said, taking the card from her hand.

"Ok then, how about you take her to this outdoor concert I heard about? I have two tickets right here." She said, handing him tickets to the event.

Fred took a look at the tickets and noticed that the people playing at the event were Honey Lemon's favorite band and her favorite singer, Jose Luis Rodriguez.

"I was gonna go after work, but turns out my friend couldn't make it anymore."

"Cool! She'll totally love this! Thanks!" said Fred.

"No problem! Here's your bag. You two have a nice day!"

As Fred walked back to Honey Lemon, who was now standing at the entrance of the store, he told her about the outdoor concert and how the cashier lady gave him tickets.

"No. Way. These are tickets to my favorite band and my favorite artist! This is amazing! Thanks Freddie!" Honey said, hugging Fred.

-----At the Concert-----

"Wow! It's really crowded here! Didn't think this many people would show up." Honey said, sitting in her assigned seat with Fred.

"Yeah, I bet this performance is gonna be awesome!" He said, pumping both of his fists in the air.

The rest of the night Honey Lemon and Fred watched the concert and (of course) Honey Lemon sung along to all of the songs. Fred got into spirit too, dancing to the beat of the songs. Everybody at the concert was pumped, and you could tell everybody had a blast.

-----After the Concert-----

"Thanks for spending time with me, Fred. You didn't have to do, but you did anyways." She said, walking along the streets of San Fransokyo.

"No problem, I thought you needed a friend to spend your birthday with." He said, kicking a small stone along the sidewalk.

"It made my birthday way better, that's for sure."

"Next time, we're all getting together to spend your birthday. You, Me, Tadashi, Hiro, Gogo, Wasabi, and Aunt Cass. It's gonna be great!"

"Yeah," Honey said, stopping in front of her house. "Well, this is my stop. Thanks again, Fred."

"It's-"

Before he could finish his sentence though, Honey interrupted him.

"Oh! I almost forgot." She said, pulling out a shirt from her shopping bag. "This is for you. I thought you might like it."

Fred took the shirt from her hands and looked at it. "Awesome! Thanks!" He said, still looking at the shirt.

"Glad you like it. It's getting late. You should probably go home now. I'll see you at school tomorrow, okay?"

"Bye Honey Lemon!" Fred said, waving goodbye.

"Bye Fred." Honey Lemon said, waving back.
