"PLEASE, DO COME IN."

Sans, who was behind Papyrus waved.

I waved and then he rushed past me.

"WELL. GUESS IT'S JUST US. ANYWAYS, HUMAN. ARE YOU HUNGRY?" He asked. "SANS TOLD ME YOU WERE COMING OVER AND I MADE YOU SPAGHETTI LIKE OLD TIMES."

You blinked and looked down, getting a feeling of nostalgia. It hurt to realise that Papyrus was... Evolving.

You nodded and sneezed all over Papyrus on accident and out of nowhere.

Wide-eyed in your own horror, you looked up at him.

"OH MY. ARE YOU OKAY?" he asked.

"Yeah... Just... Cold." You assured him.

He pulled you out of the doorway and shut the door.

"WAIT HERE." he said.

You did so.

Then you sneezed again because who doesn't need to sneeze?

Papyrus came back with a large red blanket and wrapped it around you.

"I HOPE THIS'LL HELP. AFTER ALL, IT IS THE GREAT PAPYRUS'." he said cutely.

You smiled. "I'm sure it will too."

His skull face blushed a tint orange.

"ANYWAYS.. NYEHEHE... SIT DOWN. I'LL GET YOU SOME FOOD." He said, gesturing to the couch.

You did so.

"BUT UH.. WE DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DRINK IF YOU'RE THIRSTY. BUT THERE IS A STORE NEARBY. IF YOU WANT SOMETHING I CAN GO BUY YOU IT."

"Thank you. I do want some hot tea... But I just came in and I came so I wouldn't be alone." You pouted.

"YOU WON'T BE ALONE. SANS' PET ROCK WILL BE HERE." he said.

You gently snorted. You wanted to spend time with the cute skeleton. "I meant with someone I could talk to, like you..."

"I won't be gone long." He said rather gently.

You looked up at him. "O..okay. Just don't get sick."

He laughed. "I CAN'T. I SHOULD SAY THE SAME TO YOU." his voice returned to normal.

Papyrus went into the kitchen and gave you a plate of edible looking spaghetti.

"SANS TOLD ME SOME THINGS I HAD IN IT WERE THINGS YOU COULDN'T DIGEST. SO I FIXED IT." he caringly said.

"Thank you, Paps." You smiled up to him.

"YOU ARE WELCOME. NOW I MUST GO BUY YOU HOT TEA."

You nodded and watched him leave, wearing just his scarf and... A new outfit.

He wore a mid-drift like red shirt and black knee low shorts. On his feet he wore his usual boots.

You pouted after he closed the door for how much he had changed. Sighing and pushing away the thought you took a bite of his spaghetti.

It was really good.

You devored it in a short span of time, growing rather bored as you waited for your Cinnamon Roll to come back.

Just then you sneezed again and felt your face grow mildly numb. Snot dangled from your nose and pushing your head outwards you looked for paper towels.

You found none. There wasn't even a bathroom to get paper from.

You wiped your nose on your hand which was the grossest thing ever and washed your hands. You went back and laid down on the couch, suddenly getting a chill. You wrapped yourself tighter into Papyrus' blanket which smelt strongly of him and rested. You had your eyes closed, but you were not fully asleep. You were content.

You heard Papyrus open the door, "HELLO AG-" he cut himself off. He went into the kitchen and started to boil water since there was no plain bottled hot tea for sale.

He had to cook it himself.

"(Y/n)." You heard a voice. "(Y/n)... Wake up."

You opened your eyes to see Papyrus calling your name gently.

"Mm?" You asked.

"I have your tea." He said, handing it to you.

You sat up and yawned, stretching your arms then taking the cup of hot tea.

"Th-ank you." Your hourse voice cracked.

"... Drink it." Papyrus said, sounding worried.

You blinked at his gentleness and drank some of it, tasting loads of delicious flavour.

"I was better at making drinks than anything." Papyrus said.

You looked at him.

"I... Wasn't very good at anything." He said, looking down trodden.

You felt your expression fall. "Papyrus... Don't put yourself down." You said sadly. You put down your tea to hug him.

He sat stiff as you did so, making you even more worried.

"Why? Everyone..." He sighed.

"Everyone... Wh-at?" You asked, voice cracking.

"Everyone seems to like my brother better. I know that he thinks I'm cool and you do too and I remember going on that one date with Frisk but..." He shrugged. A tear welled in his eye.

Why is he sad so suddenly? You asked yourself, then remembered a saying. 'Even the most happiest of people can often times be the saddest.'

You were hurt by his sudden sadness and you hugged him tired.

Feelings you never really felt before washed over you.

You were scared to lose him. You didn't want to let go. You wanted him to hug you back.

"Papyrus..." You heard yourself whimper. "Don't do anything stupid... Please..." You didn't want him to be so sad.

Papyrus remained silent.

You pulled away and looked at his face and into his eye sockets.

"Why? It's how everyone views me. Stupid."

You feel useless in this. Unable to say any true feelings.

"Pa..Papyrus..." You clear your throat and felt your hands on his shoulders, so you drew them to his chest. "You're not stupid. You're adorable and nice and sweet. Sure people think you're stupid in the.. The stupid sense but those are people you don't need in life. I..." You trailed off, feeling tears fall from your eyes roll down your cheek. You put your head on your hands, which were on his chest. "I love you."

You felt Papyrus's bony arms wrap around you and you broke down on him. You didn't mean to, you didn't mean to be so selfish, it just occurred.

All of the things of the last four years, in tears. The feeling you told him and you were scared to tell him, in tears. The pain of him being so hurt, in tears.

He tightly hugged your shaking body. Then he rested his hand on the back of your head.

"Shh.. Shh.. (Y/n).. It's okay.. I.. I love you too..." He said.

From what he said you pulled your red face up to look at him.

He looked so serious and worried.

"I'm sorry." You said. "You were having a moment and I just.. Yeah."

"It's" Papyrus was cut off.

The door opened.

"Paps! I'm- oh heck no." Sans had said.

The next time you opened your eyes you found yourself on the other side of the room as Sans yelled, "NO BONE ZONE." and the brothers stated to argue.

"Guys..." You found yourself tired and you passed out, unable to speak.
