Jermaine walks into the bedroom and sees Janet laying down, her arm thrown over her closed eyes. "Are you okay?"
"I've got a headache, I'll be okay." She speaks softly.
"Did you take something for it?"
Nodding, "Yeah I did." She moves her arm and turns onto her side to look at him.
"Okay, I'm gonna take Breaunna somewhere so you can rest." He kisses her forehead. "We'll be back in a few hours."
"Have fun..."

"Breaunna, mommy has a headache so I'm taking you out somewhere for a little while."
Putting down her Barbie dolls, "I'll get my shoes." As soon as Breaunna slips on her shoes she and Jermaine head out.

"Where are we going?" Breaunna asks, forever curious.
"A store." He answers plainly, prompting more questions.
"What store?"
"It's kind of a surprise."
Hearing surprise she decides not to push it anymore. Her mom and Jermaine could keep a surprise party a secret from the decorations; especially her mom. "Okay, but can we get smoothies?" She knew what his answer would be before he opened his mouth.
"Smoothies it is."
Jermaine and Breaunna drive to Smoothie King and get their smoothies and started to head to the 'secret store'. "I want you to help me pick something out for your mom."
"Okay! What are we picking?"
"Some jewelry..."
"Oh... Well, is it a present?" She asks as they stop at a light.
"No, not really."
"So I can tell her when we get home?"
"No, you can't tell her when we get back but how would you feel if I asked your mom to marry me?" He looks back at her.
"Cool! I'd like that a lot, then we can be a real family."
Pulling into the parking lot. "You have a very special job, you get to pick the ring. Another thing is you have to promise not to tell her... It'll be our secret."
"Can we go check that store where mommy got her earrings from? She really likes their stuff..."
"That's exactly where we're gonna go, Tiffany's." He smiles at how she know what Janet likes.

"Look it's a ladybug necklace!" She points to the showcase.
"Why are you shopping? Remember we only came here for you to pick a ring." Jermaine reminds her.
"Sorry, come on." She starts pulling Jermaine further into the store. "I know where the rings are!"
"How do you know where they are?"
"I come here with mommy sometimes." She says in a duh tone.
"Alright let's have a look." He says as a lady who works at Tiffany's walks over to them. After nearly twenty minutes a very indecisive Breaunna had picked two rings and was in the process of eliminating one of them.
"I like this one better," She finally decides, pointing to a ring. The Tiffany Soleste to be exact.
"Fancy ring for such a little girl."
"It's not for me. It's a surprise for my mommy..."
"I see, I think she'll love it." She looks at Jermaine. "We have this same ring in 1 and 1.5-carat weights as well, or would you prefer this one?"
"Can I go look at the brooches?" She asks Jermaine making an irresistibly cute 'please' face.
"Sure." He turns to the lady. "I'll take the 1.5 carats and there's a chain over there with a red ladybug pendant, I'll take that as well but don't let her see that chain." He says nodding toward Breaunna.
"Okay, not a problem." She gets the chain, pendant, and ring, unlocking and re-locking the cases as she goes. "There we go, let's ring these up for you."She begins walking over to the register. "Your total will be $27,325.00."
Jermaine hands the lady his black card. "Bre, come on over here." He says as the sales lady bags the items.
"Thank you for shopping at Tiffany & Co, please come again." She hands Jermaine the bag.
"Bye." She waves at the lady and turns to Jermaine. "Let's go get my minion!"
After getting her minion Jermaine and Breaunna went home. It was nearly 5:30 and they we expecting company for dinner.
"Breaunna, when we get in the house be quiet in case mom's still sleeping and don't forget about our secret."
"Okay. I promise I won't tell." Unbuckling her seat belt.

Janet sits in the kitchen on the phone. "We're coming to LA for the dinner party in a couple weeks and I'll come listen to it then." She pauses listening to the person on the other end. uh huh okay... I love you too sweetie." She hangs up.
"Mommy, do you feel better?"
"Yes, I do baby, thanks for asking... You guys went to the mall?"
"Yup and I got a minion!" An excited Breaunna says, showing off her minion.
"Okay, take it up to your room..." Jermaine tells her.
"Take a shower so you can just put on pajamas when everybody leaves."
"Okie Dokie!" She leaves.
"It's a miracle..." Janet says sitting on counter-top.
"What?"
"You took her to the mall and she only came back with one thing."
"Haha very funny..." He mocks now standing between her legs. "What's for dessert?"
"Don't you mean dinner?"
"No." He says sucking gently on her bottom lip before kissing her.
"You didn't get enough last night?" She looks at him with lust in her eyes.
Huskily he asks, "Of you? Never." he kisses her again.
Janet deepens the kiss, putting her hands around his neck. Almost reflexively Jermaine's hand moves up her thigh to her waist. As his fingertips graze her bare skin her skin heats up.
"Ewww, you guys are kissing!" Breaunna shrieks making a face at them.
Jermaine looks at her, "Is there something you need?"
"Mauldin!" Janet hits his arm playfully. "Leave her alone... What are you doing down here?"
"Can I wear the stuff Aunt Kendal bought me when we went to LA with them?"
"Yes you may and I'm sure she would love that you wore them because she's coming over."
"Okay." She says running off again.
"What time is it?"Janet asks.
"5:42"
"Shit! I just remembered that stuff Kendal got Breaunna is in my closet! Let me go get it before she pulls my entire closet apart looking for it, Andy should be here soon to make dinner. Can you stay down here until she gets here?"
"Yup."
When Janet went upstairs Jermaine took the opportunity to hide the Tiffany's bag. His plan was slowly falling into place and he prayed Breaunna had the willpower to keep a secret for about two weeks without telling Janet. Dinner with Kendal, her husband Justin and their kids Peyton and Madison went great. After dinner, they decided to take the kids to Boomers to play video games.
