Chapter 2
The scene before me was insane. There were still people running around me screaming and crying, all in pure panic-mode.
The people that were still trying to save Clarissa somehow, were still sitting around her trying to stop the bleeding, although what blood was left had pretty much oozed out already. The Ambulance and two police cruisers all pulled up at the same time.
The police officers jumped out of their cars with their hands on their guns looking around wildly as the paramedics jumped out, two out of the back with a stretcher and the other with a bag containing life-saving equipment I assumed. When I seen the stretcher I couldnt help but to think that they shouldve just grabbed the stretcher.
The police officers started to shoo all of the people away from Clarissa's body, one was yelling at people to "Back the hell up". They did as the paramedics assessed Clarissa's non-existant vital signs and started to lift her up on the stretcher. One of the officers had gotten some crime scene tape to start sealing the scene off to prevent any more contamination.
I was still leaning against the wall thinking about Clarissa.

She wasnt that old, about Lilo's age. 22 maybe. We had gone to a coffee shop one morning, Lilo and I, which we never do. It was crowded, and most of the tables were full. Clarissa was sitting alone eating a croissant and reading a book. She looked like she had a rough night. Her hair was pointing in all different directions, looking like she had just came here straight out of bed. It was red, black, and you could see some spots of yellow, where either the dye had faded, or spots she missed with the dye.
She was wearing a black tank top with the Jolly Roger Skull in the middle, a pair of shorts that came down to her knees, with what looked like 1000 zippers on it, and a pair of black over the ankle combat boots. I couldnt see her eyes because she was wearing a pair of over-sized sunglasses.
Just then she looked up from her book, pulled her sunglasses down a little, exposing her turqoise eyes and smiling up at us.
"Wanna sit down?". she asked. She was at a table for four all alone. I looked at Lilo and she shrugged and walked over to her table and sat. I told Lilo I would get us a coffee (even though we dont even really drink coffee).
When I returned Clarissa and Lilo were in a highly animated conversation, as if they had always know eachother and were the best of friends. I sat down smiling a little, and they both returned my smile. Lilo introduced us quickly, and continued talking.
They were talking about how cute certain members of certain bands were, so I didnt pay much attention. But at one point Clarissa looked up at me with this look of knowing, like she knew me, or I knew her, a strange sensation went through me as I remembered something that wasnt quite clear.

An officer snapped me out of my thoughts asking me if I had seen anything, that could help them solve the mystery of Clarissa's daylight murder. I told him I didnt and he handed me his card telling me if I thought of anything to give him a call.
Other officers were talking to people that had stayed on the scene, although many hadnt. A few gawkers were starting to surround the scene though. Clarissa's body was gone already, I didnt even hear the ambulance leave. Guess you dont need sirens when there is no chance of saving the person you are taking to the hospital.
I saw that the ticket booth had closed. I know they couldnt have sold-out I was pretty close to the front of the line. I would get them tomorrow, or maybe order them online.
A chill ran down the back of my spine, and I realized that i was drained mentally, and just wanted to get to my apartmentand sleep.
