It was like history being repeated. Shafqat was going insane. She definitely misinterpretated him somewhere. Her cold looks were intolerable. No, he did this the wrong way. He should've told her long time back how much she means to him. Better late than never, he thought. He decided to confess without anymore hesitation.
"Hello?" Ishana's thick voice came after she received phone.
:Ishana? Where are you? We need to talk." Shafqat said in a hurry.
"I..I'm leaving Shafqat.." She sobbed.
Shafqat was dumbstruck. He couldn't talk for a brief second.
"No..No..Ishana..Please..Don't leave!" he continued then.
"I've nothing left here." She cried.
"You've me. I'm here for you. I lo-"
"Do not say it." Ishana cut him off. "You don't deserve me, a complete failure." She cried again.
Her cry made his heart ache. "Ishana, calm down. Come to me. Let's talk. You don't have to be this much miserable. I'll set everything right."
"No, I don't want to rely on you. Don't raise my hopes to be shattered again. Just move on. Forget me, forget my existence. I'm never contacting you again. Sorry. " With that Ishana hung up.
Shafqat remained silent. He felt vacant, tearless. He knew he'll always be incomplete without her
