I watched the forest, dead, dark, and threatening. Tonight was my turn to keep watch for the undead. The last attack was still fresh in my mind; the stench of death reeking around me, slashing at the enemies with my sword, the loud explosions of the TNT, and shooting the undead as they climbed their way to the king. It felt all like it was all yesterday.
Tonight, we were celebrating a year without attacks from the undead- at least the other marksmen and knights were. I could hear them cheering, chatting, and clanking their cups together. I glanced over at the courtyard where they were celebrating, then back out to the forest. In the faint moonlight, I could see a few figures. Most were pig-like, a few others had green, rotting skin, and one bony figure.
Quickly, I pull out a firework I have for warning the others of the undead. I put the fuse atop a torch, until the firework lit and flew into the sky. Boom! A large white ball of light blue sparkles lit the sky until it faded away. Dashing to the bridge over the sewers by the courtyard, in my loudest voice, I shouted.
"Undead spotted! Take your positions and be ready to defend!"
