Prologue

Princess Diana

I was cuddled up to Caspian in his bed. I had a nightmare so I came to his room. There's like no point in us having separate rooms since we're always together.

Soon, a hand was covering my mouth and my eyes shot open as I gasped. I saw it was just professor and he was also covering Caspian's mouth.

Caspian moves his hands.

"5 more minutes." He says, cuddling up to me.

"You won't be watching the stars tonight, my prince and princess." He says.

We look at him in confusion.

"Come on. We must hurry." He says.

We get out of bed and professor pulls us along.

"Professor, what's going on?" Caspian asks.

"Your aunt has given birth... to a son." He says, looking at us in worry.

Caspian and I share a look of shock.

"Come." Professor says.

Me and Caspian look back and see the guards.

"Go." Caspian tells me, helping me into the wardrobe.

"Caspian." I whimper.

He comes in and closes the door. He holds me close as we watch.

They come inside Caspian's room and surround the bed.

"Is Diana in there?" General Glozelle asks.

"Who cares? Miraz said kill them both if they're together." A soldier says.

I silently gasp. Caspian's grip tightens on me.

They all then start shooting arrows into Caspian's bed. I gasp and hold Caspian. I could have lost my brother or died with him if professor hadn't saved us.

The bird was screeching like it was on drugs.

They then see it was all feathers and torn sheets and curtains. No bloody or dead bodies. Caspian and I then run off to professor.

We take a secret passage down the stairs and into a room. We grab our protective vests and some weapons. I put on my outfit

then put on my cloak

and make sure I have on my ring

Thank the lord I do. Caspian gave it to me on our birthday.

We go to leave but professor stops us. He then wraps Caspian's cloaks around him. I already had mine on.

He then puts us on a horse. Caspian behind me.

"You must make it to the woods." Professor says to us.

"The woods?" Caspian asks.

"They won't follow you two there." Professor says.

He then hands me a horn.

"It has taken me years to find this." He says.

Caspian puts it away.

"Don't use it except at your greatest need." Professor says.

We nod and stare at him. He was like a father to us.

"Will we ever see you again?" I ask.

"I dearly hope so, my princess. There is so much more I meant to tell you two. Everything you know is about to change." He says.

"Close the drawbridge!!" We hear and look ahead.

The horse got ready.

"Now, go." Professor says.

The horse then takes off. The horse takes us out to the open.

"Halt!"

"Halt!" Some guards yelled.

Caspian held me tight as we fought off the guards. We cross the bridge and then stop at the sight of fireworks. We then heard an announcement on our new cousin.

Guards started coming after us and we take off in the direction of the woods.

I thought we had lost them until I heard horses following us. Dammit!

We then crossed a river as the horse struggled, whining. This poor beautiful creature. We made it out and kept running.

I ducked from a branch but Caspian hit it and fell off. I heard him grunt then fall off the horse.

"Caspian!" I yell.

The horse took off, dragging Caspian. I tried to help him.

"Keep going after I free!" Caspian yells.

"No! I won't leave you!" I yell.

I got his boot free then jump off the horse. Right next to Caspian. I can see the pain he was in as I laid next to him. In the middle of the dark woods.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"Yes. Just some throbbing." He says.

We then slowly get up and look around. I huddle into Caspian and he holds me close.

Then there was creaking and two... Dwarfs? Came out.

"He's seen us." One says.

Caspian looks and I do as well. A sword. One of them pulls out a dagger and comes at us and we back away.

He then looks in front of us. We look and see the horn.

Horse whinnies.

"Take care of him." One says to the one farthest.

Caspian and I watch him run off and the other comes over to us.

"Get it!" I say as Caspian crawls

"No! The other dwarf yells.

Caspian grabs it a blows in it. He hits Caspian, knocking him out.

"Caspian!" I scream the felt a hand over my mouth and an arm around my waist.

I scream but Caspian was out and dragged along.

Then, I was hit and saw black.
