Ethan took my hand. The basket and blanket in his other. He put the basket in the trunk. He opened the passenger side door. He got in on the drivers side.

"C'mon. There's a place I want to take you to."

He drove on a tucked away path in between a bunch of trees. Then he parked the truck. Taking the keys out of the ignition. Putting them in his pocket.
I didn't know what he was doing, so I curiously opened the door. I walked to him.

"What surprise do you have planned now?"
"If I told you, then it wouldn't be a surprise."

He grasped my hand.

"Savannah. What I'm about to show you is my favorite place in the world. Prepare to be breathless."

He took me to some trees. He walked up them. Pushed the branches out of the way. He beckoned me forward. We walked through. What I saw was breathtaking. We were at a serene lake.

"It's beautiful."

He stepped on some rocks. He held my other hand. I stepped onto the rocks as well. He let go of my hand, holding on to my other.

"Walk along. I won't let you fall."
