Part 17

Kristen's mom's P.O.V

I don't know how to tell her,yet alone deal with it myself. While I was on my business trip I found out that I have cancer, I went to the doctors because I wasn't feeling my best. How is she going to live without me? I just got home and now I only have a few months to live, I will be heading to the hospital in a week. She might have to live with her father , I don't think that is the best Idea but she just turned 17. She isn't ready to live on her own yet , I will break the news to her in the morning I am so happy that she has been treating me amazingly I couldn't of have asked for more. I am sad that this happened but it's life. the Doctors said that there is nothing we can do about my cancer. I need to call her father,she is asleep so hopefully she wont hear me.

*Calling,answered* 

F: Hello?

M: Hey,it's me Julia I need to ask you a huge favor

F: What is it?

M: I have been Diagnosed with Brain Cancer,I will die in a few months so when I die i will need you to take care of Kristen for me. Can you do that?

F: Of course,Don't think I am doing this for you I am doing this for Kristen.

M: I understand Paul! Thank you so much. 

F: You're Welcome

M:Bye,Have a good Night

F: Okay,Bye good Night.

Kristen's P.O.V

I woke up to see my mom standing in the kitchen looking very nervous.I am staying home today so I have time to talk. "Hey,Mom What's Wrong?" I say as i hug her "Hey,Kris I need to tell you some bad news...you better sit down for this" She tells me. Is she leaving again? I ask myself. "Okay,What's up" I ask her while I sit down. "Ummh,Well Kristen I-I-I have Cancer..." She tells me with tears in her eyes. "W-W-What mom you have cancer,When did you find out?" I ask her trying to cry I have to stay strong for her. "Two weeks ago, I wasn't feeling good so i went to the doctors and they discovered that I have Brain Cancer..." She says "OMG mom!" I get up and I give her a big hug. "How long do you have to live,is there a cure,What will happen to me when you die?!" I ask her all the question I need the answers to. "I have two months,There isn't a cure and you will have to live with your father" She answered me. "I don't want to lose you mommy" I say as I cry. "It's Okay baby you will be fine without me,You are a beautiful,Strong and truthful girl." she tells me while we still hug each other. "Is there anything you want to do before you die mom?" I ask her. 

"Nope,I just want to spend time with you,Girl anything happened while I was gone if so you need to fill me in" She asked trying to change the mood. "Oh yeah,Sit down this is going to take a while" I tell her. I'm going to tell her about Ethan, With very little details she can't know about the bad things that happened. "So.. I made a couple friends,there names are Riley I met her yesterday,she is really sweet. I also have two others friends,Ethan and Grayson they are Twins. Also they are boys. I think I am starting to like Ethan he is really sweet at first we had a couple of bumps but now he is really nice. I mean yeah Grayson Is nice but I just don't feel that feeling I have with Ethan" I explain. "Sweety,I have to meet this Ethan guy and your friends sound really nice!" She tells me. I look down at my phone and see that school is cancelled because of the snow outside. "wanna meet Ethan today?" I ask her." Isn't he supposed to be in school?" she asks "No,School got cancelled because of the snow" I tell her. "Sure I would like to meet him" She says "Okay give me a minute" I tell her. I decide to facetime Ethan.

*Connecting*

K: Hey

E: Hey

K: Can you come over today and chill?

E: YASSSSS what time girllll?

I look at the clock and it is 10:08 am

K: 11?

E: Sounds cool be there soon!

K: Ok,Bye Eth I gotta go get ready!

E: Bye Kris!
