Chapter 8:The Search & A New Home

Sonic awoke on Amy's couch to find her gone & a note placed on the plate where the cookies are. Sonic picked up the note & read it, "Dear Sonic, I'm sorry but I don't think this relationship will work out between us. I can't stand your guts anymore, all you do is cuddle me when I need to focus on other things like my career & what I want to be. You need to find someone else in your life who will suit you just right. I'm not that girl for you sorry... By the way, I'm not coming back to my home well my old home anyway. I'm moving somewhere far away to focus on my life & career so don't come looking for me. Goodbye Sonic The Hedgehog...

Amy Rose". Sonic was shocked by what he just read.
Sonic: B-But she promised... Why would she do this? Did I do something wrong to her? What would make her do this? And how did I just fall asleep & not notice that she left?
While Sonic was eyeing the room he saw something oval shaped in the cookie he ate last night. He picked up the cookie & took out the oval shaped substance in the cookie, he went to Tails' workshop to investigate it.
Tails: It's a sleeping pill Sonic
Sonic: A-A what?
Tails: A sleeping pill, by the name you should obviously know what it does
Sonic: So that's how I fell asleep & didn't notice that she left
Tails: What are you talking about?
Sonic: Last night me & Amy were hanging at her place & she baked me cookies & when I woke up in the morning she was gone & she left me a note. And I'm guessing she put sleeping pills in the cookies she baked so I would fall asleep & stop her from leaving.
Tails: Oh... Can I see the note? If you don't mind
Sonic: *sigh* Sure
Sonic then handed Tails the note, Tails then read it & turned to Sonic once he was done.
Tails: Wow, I'm sorry Sonic
Sonic: It's alright
Tails: But my question is what would cause her to do this? It's obvious that she loves you no matter what the note says, besides if she did feel that way she would've just told you herself. I know Amy & she's honest with everyone, so if she really did feel that way she would've just told you instead of doing what she did. Maybe something happened & she did this to keep you safe or something.
Sonic: You make a good point but what if she just wanted to spare my feelings & not tell me in person?
Tails: If she wanted to do that why would she spend the whole day with you telling you that she loves you?
Sonic: Good point
Tails: You know what this means don't you?
Sonic: Yeah we have to find Amy!
Tails: Um that's not what I meant
Sonic: Wait a minute why not?
Tails: Cause Amy will probably be hard to find besides if my theory is correct what if the person or thing comes & kills us for trying to find her?
Sonic: Yeah I guess, so what do we do?
Tails: We find the one who caused Amy to leave
Sonic: Alright but one question
Tails: Yes?
Sonic: WE LIVE IN A VILLAGE FULL OF PEOPLE HOW ARE WE GONNA FIND THE ONE PERSON WHO MADE HER LEAVE?!
Tails: Gee you didn't have to yell, anyway we just need to find clues & facts. Maybe something happened yesterday when you weren't with Amy & the person might've talked to her while you weren't around & told her to leave?
Sonic: I guess but the only person who showed up a lot yesterday was... Perci
Meanwhile with Amy
Amy was on the train heading to Snowdin(anyone recognize the town name? The first one to comment the thing the town name is from gets a sneak peek to the next chapter). Snowdin is where Amy's mother & father lived, Amy had lived here as a child but when she was 10 she left to go to a school in the village where Sonic lived.
Amy: *sigh*(in her thoughts) Sonic... I love you, I wanted a family with you & a life with you... But I guess it wasn't meant to be. Now Perci will, will...
Amy then rushed to the bathroom on the train to cry, Amy stayed in the bathroom crying the whole train ride until the conductor finally went to the bathroom & knocked
Conductor: Excuse me?
Amy: *sniff* yes?
Conductor: We've arrived in Snowdin
Amy: Oh... Thank you I'm sorry for wasting your time
Conductor: No problem at all
Amy then opening the door & exited the bathroom
Conductor: Miss if you don't mind me by asking, why are you crying?
Amy: I wanted a future with someone but it wasn't meant to be
Conductor: Oh... I hope you don't mind if I say this but, some futures with people happen if they are meant to it depends on the person & if they really need you.
Amy: Heh, thanks. My name is Amy, Amy Rose
Conductor: And I'm Priscilla, Priscilla Rivera(That's me guys!!!)
Now that Amy had finally gotten a good look at the conductor, she was a light blue hedgehog with short quills kinda of like hers but Priscilla's were a little bit shorter.
Priscilla: I hope you have a great time in Snowdin!
Amy: Thank you
Amy then got her stuff & got off the train, once she was off the train she went to her parent's house. She had called them the day before to tell them that she would be coming back, they had gotten a new house over the past years. Amy then arrived at their house & knocked on the door, someone opened the door & smiled once they saw her.
????: Oh my gosh, Amy you're back!!!
They leaped into her arms & gave her a hug
Amy: Alicia look how big you've gotten, how old did you turn again?
Alicia: 15
Amy: Wow
Alicia was Amy's little sister, she was little when Amy left for that school in Sonic's village. Amy had come to visit sometimes but not often because of school & other things.
Alicia: Come inside let's go say hi to mom & dad!
Amy: Alright
Alicia then pulled Amy inside & they went to to the living room
Alicia: Mom! Dad! Look who's here!
????: Amy darling it's so nice to see you!
Amy's mom had gotten up & hugged Amy
Amy: Hey mom it's nice to see you too! I've missed you
Amy's mom: I've missed you too honey, you should've visited more often I know fighting that awful Eggman was time consuming though so I don't blame you
Amy: Yeah I know
Amy's dad then got up & went to go hug Amy
Amy's dad: Amy, sweetie I'm glad you're back
Amy: Me too dad, I've missed all of you
Amy's dad: We all have too
Amy's mom: Now honey, you can stay here as long as you like until you're ready to find your own place here in Snowdin
Amy: Thanks mom
Alicia: And until then this will be your new home Amy!
Amy: Yeah my new home...
A tear streamed down Amy's face as she said those words.
