I left Lauren reluctantly this morning. I don't want to leave while she's still sleeping but I don't want her to wake up and see there's something bothering me either. She can always tell if something's up. I only managed to keep myself in check last night long enough until she fell asleep. I rubbed my eyes as soon as I'm in the driver seat of my car, shaking off the sleep in them.

I start the car and I made a detour to my place. I took a shower, and changed my clothes before I went to work.

I arrived in the office fairly early and Harry's already there, sipping coffee at his cubicle. He smirks when he sees me walk over to him.

"Hey you."

"Hey Har," I forced a smile and leaned on one side of his cubicle.

He raises her eyebrows at me. "Oh. Trouble in paradise?"

"What?"

"Did you have a fight with Lauren?"

I frowned. He knows everything. "No, we did not."

"Then what's wrong?"

I let out a big sigh. "Can you come over to my office later? I have to tell you something."

"Sure." Harry rolled his chair toward his desk and wrote something on a sticky note then pasted it on the side of his desktop. I squinted and it reads, 'Coffee with Cabello'. I roll my eyes at his.

"Really? But there are two Cabellos in this place."

Harry smirks. "I'm sure I could figure it out."

I look down at his shiny wedding ring. "How's the surrogate?"

"A bit rough, but it's worth it," He shrugs.

"I'm sure it is."

Harry and Louis are trying to cut down on the smoking and drinking as soon as they found out that they're 'pregnant'. I know it's a big change in their lifestyle but I could see that they're happy doing it for the baby.

I talk to Harry more before I finally go to my office. There's three articles waiting to be edited and I attended to them right away.

I bit the end of my red pen as I stare at the last article I was editing. I read it again and decided I exhausted all the mistakes in it. My attention turned to my phone which is lying on my desk. I think about calling Lauren, ask her about her day. I throw my pen on top of the stack of papers, deciding to call her already. I dialed her number and wait, biting my lip in the process.

"Hi," she answered in the third ring.

I cleared my throat. "Hey."

"Everything alright? You left without waking me up," she asks worriedly, making me feel guiltier.

"No I just had to come in early today, I didn't see the point waking you up, I know you were tired."

"You did tire me out last night," she laughs. "Are you sure there's nothing wrong?"

"Yes I'm sure, sorry for worrying you."

"It's fine."

"Come over tonight? I'll make you dinner to make up for it?"

"Okay, I'd like that." I know she's smiling, revealing her perfect cheekbones I'll never get tired of.

"Alright, see you later."

"See you baby."

I hung up and my guilt didn't lessen at all. I guess I have to decide what I'm really going to do before I tell her anything.
