A Different Kind of Love

Chapter 2

I walk into the school through the back door and into the band hall and pout, "Awww he ain't here yet... I'll tell him later."

"Ellie!' I turn around and see Tarah coming towards me. "Oh hey!"

"Where's Daven? I need to kick him."

"What he do this time?"

"Nothing yet. I just wanna kick'im!"

I laugh at this. Him and her gotta settle this somehow. It gets way too out of hand sometimes... Okay, it gets out of hand all the time. But what can I do? Every time I tell them to settle it they either make me take sides or fight for me.

"Ellie!" I turn around and see Daven walk up to me. "Hey!" I smile to him as he comes up to give me a hug.

Tarah, being her impatient self, decided that she should interrupt our lovey dovey moment and kick my baby in his bad leg.

"Ahhh! What the fu-" he screams in pain. "What the heck was that for?"

"Oh my gosh, baby..." I sit on the floor and hold onto his leg stroking where it hurt the most. "Really Tarah? You kicked him in his surgery leg!"

"Oops... I didn't know!" She raises her hands up in innocence.

I roll my eyes at this. I don't hate Tarah but I'm not exactly in love with her either.

"Ahhh... Yeah, I'm okay..."

"Well, you should sit down probably babe."

"No really baby I'm fine, she didn't kick it that hard."

"You sure?"

"Yes baby, see," he stands perfectly while I look up at his handsome face. "I'm fine."

"Ugh, fine..." I stand up, cross my arms and pout off into space in a different direction. He comes up behind and hugs me. "Awww, baby."

I take his arms off of me and turn around to face him. "What?" He looks me straight in the eye and doesn't say a word.

"She'a mine!" Tarah comes up behind me and wraps her arms around my right arm, causing her chest to squish my arm. He gives me a weird look before he starts pulling my arm. "No, she's mine! Tell her Ellie that your mine." He pouts. He's so cute. "Well, I'm not into girls baby..." I give him a small smile. "I know, but she won't leave us alone!" He speaks in his five year old voice. (Did I mention that he was so cute) "Your such a baby, Daven!" Tarah complains as she tugs me closer to her.

"Daven! Tarah! Stop arguing over Ellie!" Ms. Chey screamed from across the room, "Ya'll are going to tear her body in half!"

They both let go of me at the same time. "I sowwy baby. Please forgive me." He pouts again. "Your so cute when you pout..." I speak my thoughts as I grab his nose and start to sway his head side to side. "Umm... So I guess you do?" He smiles at me hopefully. "Yes baby, yes I do." I smile back. He gives me a death squeeze of a hug as I rap my arms around his neck. Man I love his hugs. Makes me feel... Safe... And want to do things I shouldn't for the time being. "Yay!" He exclaims in a happy voice.

"Not right now you two!" Ricardo barges in and shakes his head at us. "Whatever, your just jelly cause you don't got a girl to do this type of stuff with." Daven smirked. "Well, I got Ervin for that." He drags him over, "Right man?" Ervin looks at everyone confused. "Yeah, sure man..." Ricardo gives him a tight hug and Ervin goes along with it.

"Ummm..." I say awkwardly and take Daven's hand and Tarah's arm to slowly walk away from the weirdness.

"Sometimes, I wonder if he's gay..."

"He's not Daven."

"I know that but he's weird..."

"I know babe, don't worry about it. let's just move along from the awkward people, okay?"

"Okay..."

Time passes by and we head onto the bus. Me and Daven sit together(of course)and Tarah sits in front of us. We talk and play with each others iPods. While I'm trying to finish a floor for Tarah, Daven pokes me, "Hey, lets look through her iPod and see what other stuff she has." I look down at the puzzle and back up to him, "Okay, just let me figure this out first okay?"

I finally figure it out after about five minutes of thinking,"Finally!" Daven looks at me and smiles, "That felt like forever..." I smile deviously,"Now?" He smirks,"Oh yeah..."

I press the home button and see all her games in one part. "Wow, she really has a game that lets you have a gay boyfriend. I didn't know they made a game for that." He takes it out of my hand,"Hmmm, people make apps for everything these days." I take it the iPod, true that."

"Hey, Ellie. Slender man found me ." Tarah popped out from the front of us and gave me back my iPod. "Can I play with yours now Daven?" He looks up from the screen and to her,"Yeah, sure." He asks me for his iPod and I take it out of my shoulder bag in my backpack."Thank you." Tarah snatches it it from me and gets back down on her seat.

"Okay... Continue." Daven says to me as it get out of her game section. We look through her pictures and all her apps. We didn't open any of her apps since we found no interest in them and we continue to look through her other stuff,"Texting stuff, games, blah blah blah..." I said out loud as we look through more and more stuff. "Hey Ells, there's a next page." I look down closer to the screen and see a third dot.

I slide the screen and my jaw drops,"Oh my gosh, Daven..."

Author's note: Sorry I'm taking so long to get to the good parts. I hope you guys like it I left it at a cliffhanger though so yeah. (Not edited) Things will (hopefully) get better in the next chapter so thank you for whoever stumbled upon this book and has the patience to wait and actually like it I really appreciate it. 😁😄
