Chapter 8

The next morning I was the first up. I barely slept at all from getting sick. It was horrible.

"How are you feeling?", I heard Lacey say from behind me. Shit well I guess she heard then. Hopefully no one else. "Um so you heard me getting sick then?", I asked. She nodded slowly, "Do you think there's anyway you could be preggo?", she said casually grabbing something from the fridge. I spat out the water that was in my mouth, "I can't be!". "Well you and Luke", she said making hand motions, "you know". "Fuck", I said, "but I think there was a condom". "You think?", she said stopping me. "Oh god", I said, "this isn't happening!". "I'm just sick", I said. "Maybe?", she suggested, "you should maybe talk to Luke?". "Hell no", I said. "You have to ask if their was a condom tho", she said before leaving the room.

Oh my god! Am I fucking pregnant? I can't be. I'm to young for this. I'm not ready. I know I can't be I thought to myself. I'm just sick I convinced myself, stomach flu sick.

"Morning!", Jai said walking in. He didn't mention anything about me getting sick so hopefully Luke wouldn't have heard either. "Morning", I said back,"how was your sleep?". "Good", he said going to grab some food. Beau was next up, "how you feeling?", I asked him. "The real question is how are YOU feeling", he said winking at me. The fuck? Did he know? "Fine", I said, "uh Beau can I talk to you in private for a moment", I asked. "Yup", he said. He followed me into another room. "Did Lacey tell you?", I asked in a serious tone. "Nope", he said, "I heard you getting sick last night, Lace was up to so we both thought that was the reason you were getting sick". "Oh god", I said placing my hand on my head, "please don't say anything to Luke or anyone yet, who knows even if that's what it is". "You can trust me", he said winking and pointing his fingers at me, then he walked away. I stood there shocked.

Could I really even trust him? Probably not. I'll just have to leave it at that though for now. I went back into the kitchen and now everyone was there. I looked at Luke and he smiled at me. "Hey Gracey", he joked. "Hey no calling me that", I said back laughing. He didn't say anything about me getting sick last night, thank goodness. But I do still need to talk to him.

After breakfast everyone went out, the boys were filming a daresundays and were looking for something to use. We were at a grocery store and then they went to a drug store. Me and Lacey went off to look at other stuff. "Hey look!", she said pointing to the pregnancy testers. "No", I said crossing my arms. "Come on", she practically yelled running into the aisle. I rolled my eyes then checked around to make sure the guys weren't around. "Lacey, seriously", I said stopping her. "Ohh there's so many and their all so colourful", she cooed. "Oh man", I said shaking my head. "Just get one", she said, "I mean why not?". "Ugh", I groaned, "fine". She grabbed them out for me, she picked like every single one too. "I'm not paying for all this", I said. "No don't worry", she said sticking her tongue out at me, "I will since I'm such a nice friend". She carried them all to the front where the cashier was. "Oh my god!", I shout whispered to her, "what if they see us". "Girl, calm to tits", she joked, "they wo-". We both stopped our arguing as we watched them run towards us. "Uh oh", she said to me. We both stood there not knowing what to do. Oh man what were we going to say to them. "What the hell are you holding?", Daniel asked looking at all the boxes in Lacey's arms. "Are those....pregnancy testers?", Luke asked confused, "Lacey are you pregnant?". "N-", I cut her off. "Yup she is", I said, "she just needs to check first". All the guys looked at Beau, "we haven't even had sex!", he yelled. "Then how can you be pregnant?", Jai asked looking to Lacey."uhm....", she said looking at me, "I don't know". "Are you cheating on me?", Beau asked. He must have completely forgotten about the fact that I could be pregnant. "No gosh no", Lacey said running to him,"I would never". He pulled away from her. Fuck it I thought to myself, I'll ruin her relationship if I don't tell the truth. "They're for me", I said quietly. "What?", Luke asked, "did you just say they're for you". I nodded my head slowly. All the guys now looked to me. I was so embarrassed, I just started to walk off. "I'll just go with her", Lacey said coming towards me, "and Beau you're a fuckhead".

"Wait up", she called after me. I slowed down for her. "I'll buy these anyways", she said. "They're fucking idiots", she said again trying to cheer me up. "Whatever", I said calmly.

Me and Lacey made our own way back to the Brooks house. Let me tell you it was awkward when we got back. "Lacey fuck babe", Beau said running towards her, "I didn't mean too, I forgot about Gracen!". She rolled her eyes, "fine". "Sorry", he said looking to me. "Yup", I said shaking my head, "thanks for that Beau".

"Gracen", I heard Luke say, "can we talk?". It's not like I could avoid talking to him about this. "Yeah", I said following him outside. "So you're using pregnancy testers?", he asked. "Well I will be", I said. "And....for umm-", he started. "Yes", I said, "for when we fucked". "Oh", he said. "It's not even for sure though", I said, "Lacey thought I should cause I got sick last night, but honestly I think I was just sick". "I can't remember if there was a condom or not", he said slowly. "Well hopefully there was", I said about to walk off. "Wait Gracen", he said pulling my arm, "if you do somehow happen to be pregnant, I won't leave you". I turned away and smiled, at least I know he actually cares about me.

After dinner Lacey made me use the testers. "I really would rather not", I said nervously. "Just do it", she said pushing me into the washroom. She had already put them in there for me too. "Lacey!", I yelled from inside the closed bathroom, "there's like 10 different ones here!". "Just do a couple now then", she said. "Wait", I said, "I should tell Luke". I opened the door and went to talk to him. "Luke", I said slowly to him, "I'm using them". He knew exactly what I meant and followed me up to the bathroom. Beau and Jai came as well. "What the hell!", I said as I heard them all outside the door. "Are you preggo!", Lacey assumed. "I was talking about the fact that you are all out there!", I yelled back. I opened the first box, god what the hell I thought to myself. I did what I needed to do. I took a deep breath before looking down to the results.

Negative. Not pregnant. It said I was pregnant. Thank goodness. I grabbed another one, not saying anything to the ones waiting outside. Negative, not pregnant. Oh my god. I threw the packaging away and slowly opened the door. There eyes all widened as I walked out. "I'm not pregnant", I shouted throwing my arms up. "Yeah!!!", Lacey said running to hug me. Luke smiled, "nothing to worry bout now". I smiled back, "yah thank goodness".

After that everyone had simmered down and gone back to their usual deal. "So you were obviously just sic then?", Luke said from behind me. "Yup", I said. "Now that that's out of the way", he laughed, "do you wanna go out on a date with me tomorrow?". "Of course", I said, "I'd love too".

A/N: sorry this was a little short. It was kinda a filler. I didn't really like where the story was going so I changed it up a bit.
