AS THE NEXT DAY followed, Hoseok was already tired from practice and ready to go to sleep, but he knew he has to get ready to see Namjoon again. But he knew that nobody, not even the one he cared about could know this secret of him going to clubs and dancing. Ever since last summer, Hoseok started feeling lost again and couldn't go anywhere, not even to go see his parents because of Bangtan. He snuck out one night and found the club, now the name didn't matter because it was what was inside that mattered. He felt the cheers of people, and the stage alive. He felt the warmth of them dancing without a care, he felt happiness. It felt like his cold outer shell of him break. And his true self came out. But as always it was only a night. It was always just a night. Every time Hoseok walked into the club with his mask on and danced it felt like his younger days, when he loved dancing. Dancing was all he had, and he loved it.
Hoseok smiled at the fond memories of how it all started as he was getting ready. And the last part he had to put on was his mask, he opened his dresser as he looked at the soft white color, the way it shimmered with the pearls all mixed onto the mask was breathtaking.
He put it on slowly, tying it from the back as he put pillows under his cover and locked his room door. He turned off the lamp as he took a deep breath. He loves this feeling when he does this, rebellion. He opened the window quietly as he walked on the patio, since what they were living in is an apartment with a metal staircase incase of fires, which makes it an easy escape route. Even for sneaking out it's helpful. As Hoseok went down the stairs slowly, he began walking down the alleyways, another quick route so fangirls, or strangers don't see some freak with a mask.
He went down a couple alleyways as he took a turn into the building of the club. He stood outside for a while and took a deep breath. He looked through the window to see Namjoon there, waiting with a drink in hand, water of course. Hoseok smirked as he walked inside, hearing the chants from his friends and fans he's met at the club. "Dancing boy!" The DJ said as he waved him over there. Hoseok smiled as he walked over there.
"How's this playlist?" The DJ asked as Hoseok asked to change a song here and there and then smiled.
"Perfect, make sure to start it as soon as everyone is feeling the bass alright?" He said as the DJ nodded, giving a high five as he walked down the stairs and with the crowd as people started talking to him.
Hoseok smiled and talked to them as he looked up to see Namjoon staring at him. Hoseok waved back at him as Namjoon's face turned pink, looking down as Hoseok laughed at how foolish he was acting. Hoseok frowned slightly, if only he knew it was him.
He smiled back brightly as music was playing and he was dancing very silly like. He jumped around as the music was fresh and lively. He went around and picked people who were standing down to stand up and dance in the crowd. And the friends he made there and his fans helped the "victims" dance around and feel comfortable on the dance floor.
Hoseok picked one person after another as he reached to the last person, Namjoon.
"You can dance! Come on!" Hoseok said as he pulled Namjoon. Namjoon started out as hesitant but then began to jump up and follow the mysterious boy onto the dance floor, hearing the chants of people for them to dance together as one of his songs started playing and he instantly started feeling the music, and from the looks of it Namjoon was feeling it too.
"You know we haven't had a real conversation." Namjoon said as he grabbed Hoseok by the hands and spun him around, pulling him closely.
Hoseok smiled as he felt Namjoon's hands. "We don't need one."
The music was loud as everyone was feeling the music as Namjoon and Hoseok danced together, the electricity and vibe between them was beautiful as they fitted together on the dance floor.
But as all fairytales, the magic ends at midnight.
The music was getting louder as the music pounded everyone's eardrums, and the club getting hot and the air was thick. The sweat between Hoseok and Namjoon started mixing together as they would get close and then separate. Hoseok looked at the time from the clock as it was close to midnight. Hoseok looked at Namjoon who wanted him to stay but knew that he had to go too. Namjoon held his hand and gave him a peck on the cheek as he smiled tenderly as Hoseok smiled back, and then ran through the back door again.
Namjoon sighed as he wiped off his sweat as he sat down in his usual spot by the bar, and a water in his hand given by the bartender.
"Why don't you chase him?" The bartender asking, sighing.
"Because-" Namjoon said taking a sip of his water.
"There's a reason he wears the mask, he keeps his lives separate. And I couldn't take that away from him. Even if that means seeing him every night and not saying a word to him. Even if that means sneaking out to just dance with him. It's worth it in the end."
