Luke's Problem

I thought I was playing hide and seek at the time.
One... two... three...
I had ten seconds to hide, or else there would be consequences, in which the human mind could not fathom.
Four... five... six...
My mind is racing, within this darkness I lie here with nowhere to hide.
Seven... eight... nine...
Hide and seek, dreams of hope. Oh they won't get to me, no. They weren't there for you at your time of need, no one was.
Ten...
I was playing hide and seek.
Game over.

Busy streets were booming with people that morning. I sat there forming crop circles in my coffee, while watching the busy traffic outside my window. A smile stretched across my face, watching this was soothing to me. The cars, honking at each other with such frustration. People giving fake hellos while passing one another on the city side walks. It's all a calming sense for me, due to the fact that it is not I that has to deal with the cruelty at this moment. I am safe inside my apartment, free from all human interactions.
For so I thought.
Loud knocks were heard down the corridor.
"Hannah! Hannah!"
My eyes roll, just when I began to get jovial a morose feeling poured down upon my home. I knew who was behind that door, the voice was ever so clear. It was my brother, the one who stole my happiness a long time ago. But, knowing how annoying he can be, and knowing he won't stop knocking.. I arose from my seat, and slowly made my way towards the door and open it.
"What do you want Luke?"
He barged past me. "Close the door now!!!" Fear shook his voice a little, creating an eerie aura.
"What'd you do now!?" I snapped back.
"ILL EXPLAIN LATER, BUT DO ME A FAVOR AND CLOSE THE DOOR. AND DON'T FORGET TO LOCK IT TIGHT!!!!"
My movements were swift when doing what Luke had said. Could this be another drug dealing mishap? Or possibly worse, did he play hide and seek?

Dear readers,
Tis I, the amazing Colin, Author of Bleeding Melodies. I have yet had another ingenious idea of making ANOTHER horror story, but this time I am revolving this one around the children's game hide and seek. If you haven't played hide and seek before, it's a game where one person hides... and the other... well... seeks. Its self explanatory really. But this story turns that game into a contorted and sinister game... full of paranoia and gore. Now, I'm sorry if this story starts off a bit slow, I am to blame, but I promise it will get better. I also apologize if there isn't a new update until next month.... I tend to get writers block quite often. Oops.
Anyways lalala
love,
Colin.
