Kageyama Tobio x Reader: Enemy's Ex.

As well all know, Kageyama has a thing against Oikawa, which I kinda understand because he is a prick (but a very cute prick). Anyway! You, dear, are an ex-girlfriend of his, and you happen to run into Tobio after moving schools, from Aoba Jōsai to Karasuno!

The last word means 'dear' btw.

It was (L/N) (F/N)'s first day at Karasuno. She had moved school after the first term at Aoba Jōsai because of an idiot called Oikawa Tooru, well; him, his friends and quite frankly the people were really annoying or rude.

She was heart broken, honestly. She spent 3 months crying over the idiot who dumped her for her best friend there, so she was happy to start afresh.

She got to the school early, collected her schedule and map, and took a stroll around the halls and the campus. She stumbled across the gym where she saw two volleyball players - one with midnight blue hair, the other with orange and getting called 'dumbass' by the tree of a male.

She didn't hate volleyball players - she adored the game but there wasn't a female team, so coming to Karasuno as a rookie would be good, an opportunity to make friends.

The belle as soon ringing and she tentatively approached the class. She took a deep breath, pushed open the door and walked immediately over to the teacher, who states her name and where she transferred from. "This is (L/N) (Y/N), she transferred from Aoba Jōsai. Take care of her, please..." Sensei Nagamora hummed as she chose a student who was in most or all her classes. "Hinata Shoyo and Kageyama Tobio." The boys the teacher mentioned stood up and bowed, saying they would.

She took the spare desk between the boys, smiling shyly at them both. Kageyama looked at her like she was the sun, entranced by her beauty. He blushed slightly, like Hinata, when she smiled and tried to pass it off as a 'passing infatuation'.

English came, and the (H/C) was in the classroom with Hinata, who said to call him 'Sho-kun' and Kageyama, who let her call him 'Kage-kun'. They tried their hardest, but learning a complicated second language was almost hell.

The day came and went, the boys saying they had to get to volleyball practice. The girl, who was curious, asked them if she could tag along and see how their team worked. "Kage-kun," she asked, making Kageyama hum for her to carry on. "Did you know Oikawa Tooru?" She asked, his name rang a bell with her.

His eyebrow twitched at the name and sighed, burying his face in his hands. "That bastard can go die."
When he said that, the girl's (E/C) orbs widened in surprise and for the first time that day, she genuinely smiled and laughed, making Tobio blush, and try hide the fact he was. "I see we have the same feelings towards the rat bastard!" (Y/N) fumed, surprising Kageyama.

He took a deep breath, and walked around to be in front of her, making her stop. "What did that dumbass do to you?" He looked into her darkened (E/C) orbs and she sighed. "He broke up with me after 2 months, for my best... Friend..." Her voice cracked, and Kageyama fumed, already feeling protective of her. "He's an ass. I apologise for bringing up these feelings once again. You didn't need to tell me..." Kageyama patted her on the head, making her (and him) blush.

The girl looked up at Tobio, smiling as they carried on approaching the gym. "It's okay, thank you for actually hearing me out." Kageyama nodded but stopped her at the door.

"Wait here for one minute. Then I will call you in after Captain has restrained two boys." He ran inside and the screams of 'THERE IS A GIRL?! WHERE IS SHE?! IS SHE CUTE?!' then the sound of head banging together. "Come in now, (L/N)-san." Kageyama called and she did so.

She walked into to see two young men - one rather short, about 2 inches shorter than her, then one with a buzz cut, but they both were blushing as they looked to her. "SHE'S A GODDESS!" The one with the ice-cream swirl hair yelled as he wept.

They got to training and (Y/N) became friendly with Kiyoka-san, distracting the same boys once more. They started crying which made (Y/N) feel uncomfortable, Tobio at the rescue. He told them she wouldn't come again unless they went back training, on behalf of Daichi.

Suga and Daichi came over, and made the girl feel intimidated as they were waaaaaay taller than her. They bowed down to her height and apologised, making her blush as it calmed her down. "It's okay! I'll get used to it... But is it okay if I join in from time to time?" She asked, not knowing about the girl's team.

The boys looked at her and then to each other and nodded. "You can help us train. You can be a manager and help Kiyoka-san and..." Suga stopped then allowed the other to carry on. "You can join the girls team. We can tell that you are a rookie to this, but you seem to be eager to learn." Daichi finished, the girl suddenly jump in up and hugging the two, them laughing and hugging back.

They all started practice, and the girl was in the position of ace - Asahi was very happy to let her train as one, being a rather tall female. She did well at returning the serves, spiking and serving.

She was a natural, in Kageyama's eyes, and he went to her, made her face him and he smiled softly, shocking everyone. "You need to join the girls' team. And stay here and do some training with us. Daily." He sounded so serious and it made most people worried.

She agreed and they all cheered.

-Timeskip to the AJ vs Kara match-

The girls were defeated, which meant that (Y/N) could go down as a manager. They only lost by a point.

The boys were trying hard and keeping level, and when a break was called, an annoying voice came from behind her. "(Y/N)-chan! Why did you leave me? And the school?" Oikawa whined, the girl frowning and holding back a torrent of tears. "I didn't leave you, you dumped me! You decided to date my best friend, who I see is here with you!" She was fuming, and close to crying.

Kageyama saw this and rushed over, and finally hit his old bully in the gut. "If you ever talk, hurt or see (Y/N) again, I will dice you." He sounded cold, and it made Oikawa terrified.

He left and Tobio felt two arms around his waist. A soft voice then mumbled behind him. "Thank you, Tobio-kun... You really helped me out." The buzzer went for the game to start, and he went to the court.

They lost the game, but (Y/N) was just cheerful, knowing Kageyama was there to help her so she would him. He was broken, but he was so happy to get a hug from (Y/N). "You did so well, Kageyama..."

He blushed and returned the embrace. "Thank you... (Y/N)-itoshīdesu."
