Friends

Well here's chapter 2 leave comments and vote!  I hope you enjoy it :P

 

Chapter 2: Friends

 

"Are you okay?" I hear Natsu ask me.  I gasp in surprise and then I force myself to stop crying because I didn't want him to see me like this.  All I could manage in response is a nod.  I bite my lip and bury my head in my chest relenting to the tears again.  I hear Natsu sitting down next to me.  I glance over in his direction and through blurred eyes I she him grinning at me.

"Why... are you smiling at me... like that?" I ask him through the tears.

"Because you seem like you need cheering up!" He responded looking taken aback at my stupidity.  "What happened back there?" Natsu asked his voice taking on a gentler tone.

"I freaked out that was the largest group that I've ever talked to.  I'm sorry I just am to shy for my own good," I sigh and lift up my head.  My tears had stopped and I felt worn out.  He looked over at me a smiled kindly.

"Why don't you meet us one by one here?" He asked suddenly.  I pondered that idea for a couple minutes and then I realized that it was a really good idea.  For one I wouldn't use up magical energy with trying to be visible and two I would never be in that pressured group situation.

"Okay, but can we wait until tomorrow I've had enough excitement for one day."

"Of course, but we still need to do that request!" Natsu said sitting up straighter just now remembering.  I smacked my forehead how could I have forgotten!

I shimmered into my dragon form.  Natsu stared at me in disbelief.  Just climb on I thought not being able to speck English anymore but my telepathy has increased in power lately so I could communicate in all my forms.  After a couple more seconds Natsu seemed to snap out of it.  I put down my head so he could climb on my back.

I'll turn invisible as soon as I take off so find a good handhold now I commanded him.  He just nodded in return.  I stretch out my wings then take off.  I was glad that I had spent so much time learning how to fly because there was lots of wind. 

Where do we need to go?  I asked Natsu

"To Hellinasa!" Natsu yelled back over the wind.  I changed direction so I was facing north.  I climbed higher until we were just below the clouds.  I heard Natsu yelling with joy and exhilaration.  Hold on tight I called out grinning.  I had seen a small town and decided it was time for the dive.  I glided to a stop then tilted my nose down so I was vertical to the ground I tucked in my wings and soon we were going at least forty miles per hour!

At the last second I snapped open my wings and righted my self.  I turned back into my human form and did a quick roll coming to a stop in and open clearing.  I looked behind me and saw Natsu sprawled on the ground panting with his eyes wide and hair blown back.  He sat up and looked at me wide-eyed.

"Wow..." was all he could manage.

"Sorry usually I don't dive so hard but we need to hurry or Master will start to worry after all I said I was leaving an hour ago," I apologized back into visibility.  Natsu had finally caught his breath and was staring at me obviously shell-shocked.
