Valerie and I walked quickly to one of my many cars. "I don't understand what's the rush." I chuckled as I unlocked the car door. "You wouldn't understand, and I don't feel like explaining it to honest." She said getting inside my car. I shrugged it off, maybe its that time of the month. I smirked to myself. "Where to ma'am?" I said revving the engine up. "West 42 street in Broadway." She spoke as she let out a shaky breath. I looked at her with my eye brows scrunched up. I pulled away from the club. Her phone rung loudly, breaking the silence of the car. "Yeah." She spoke on the phone. I heard mumbling voices on the other line. "I'm on my way now" She said shaking. I peered over at her while her eyes teared up. "I just need like 10 minutes. Just...Just keep him for a little while longer." She said crying softly. She then just end the phone call and run her fingers through her hair gently. "Is there a problem?" I asked with my eyebrows knitted together. "No, its not any of your business." She said trying not to let the tears slip from her eyes. "I mean, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be crying for no reason." I said trying to lighten the mood a bit. She just looked at me with dead sadden eyes. I could help but notice her soft high cheek bones and her soft light pink lips, and her prominent collar bones tucked away in her gray scarf. I shifted uncomfortable in my seat as my leather pants began to tighten up. I licked my lips and watched as she peered out of the passenger window. "I'm sorry." I said sadly shaking my head. "Just please take me home." she repeated. I slowly drove up to her destination. I looked up at the run down building. "Are you sure this is the place." I said parking on the side of the sidewalk. "Yeah thanks." She said quickly getting out the car. "Wait, Valerie!" I said chasing after her. I can't just leave her here. I watched as she knocked on the door. "Hey, Adam open the door please!" She shouted screaming at the door. I stood by the gate while watching to see who this so called "Adam" was. A man who looked to be in his mid 20's "Its about time your ass showed! I don't have all day to watch this damn boy!" He said pushing a small child into Valerie's arms. "You promised me you'd watch him. I have to work you know!" she shouted as he slammed the door into her face. "Come on baby." She cooed at the young sleeping child. She then quickly walked down the stairs and past me. "Aye who was that man back there?" I asked her trying not to intrude. This was completely at of character for me. I would have dropped any other girl off at the door and left with no hesitation, but I felt like it was my duty or obligation to protect Valerie. And I don't know why. Maybe it was the fact that she was so young, or maybe it was the fact that she hadn't tried to get in my pants yet. Nevertheless, I couldn't let the poor girl walk away. "He's no one" she answered me. "Hey how about I drop you off. You seem to be going some where. Did you not live there?" I asked her all at once. "Mr. Bieber-" "Call me Justin." I interrupted her. she look a deep breath looking at me "Justin, look I know your trying to help but, I can do this okay." She said as she continued to walk back across the street . "Please, just let me take you home?" I softly beg. She stopped in her tracks as the little boy began to wake up. "Where are we?" He said as he rubbed his eyes softly. "Aww its okay baby, we're on our way home." She softly spoke at him again. "I'm cold." he said as his lips shook. "Its cold out here, just let me take you guys home." I said I sat my hand on her shoulder. "Sure." She said with a sigh. As we walked back to the car, the young boy shot of questions as quick as possible "Who are you? How do yall know each other? are you dating?" He rambled on and on, determined to know my identity. "I'm a good friend of this lady here." I said smiling while putting him in the back seat, making sure he's secure. "Michael stop asking questions." Valerie scold him. "No its fine." I assured her, while taking my seat in the driver's area. "So where to now?" I said getting settled into the car. "Just around the corner." She said snuggling up into her jacket. I pulled off slowly. The ride was silent until Michael broke it. "Who are you sir?" He asked politely. "I work with.." I didn't really know what their relationship status was, I assumed that they were brothers and sisters since the look a lot a like, and he hadn't called her mommy so.. "He works with me Michael." Valerie interrupted. "Are you rich?" He asked again his eyes scanning over the gold embroidery of my vehicle "Michael." Valerie shouted softly. "No, its fine." I said putting Valerie at rest. "To answer you question, Mr. Michael, I'm just a successful man." I said honestly. Once we arrived at their location. Valerie quickly got out of the car and got Michael out of the car as well. I walked them up the stairs, making sure they got there safe. With her arms full of bags from tonight and her purse, she asked me to hold Michael which I had no problem doing. I stepped inside her house and Michael immediately jumped from my embrace into another's man's arms. "Tyler!" Michael shouted. "Hey buddy, what's up?" the man asked as they began their conversation. Valerie then led me out of the door. "Hey whose that guy?" I asked. "He's no one." She said as she stuffed her hands into her pocket and waited for me to speak. I gave her a questioning look, while she rolled her eyes. "So what do you want?" She said with sass. "What do you mean?" I questioned. "i mean, you helped me. You obviously want something out of this." She said angrily. "I just wanted to help you, honestly." I said truthfully. She laughed sarcastically. "Oh please. Your a man Justin. What is it you want?" She said stomping her feet. I am completely blown away by all of this. Does this happen often for her? This question rung loudly through my head. "No I just wanted help. There are still men out here, who actually have a heart." I said honestly. "See you later Valerie." I said as I hugged her and kissed her forehead. I then walked to my car, seeing her still watching my every move with a deep scowl. I then smirked to myself and pulled off.
