I grinned as I watched my husband throw a tantrum over his food not being enough spicy. Again. He was insulting the servant that brought it to him and occasionally even smacked the poor guy. I knew it wasn't the scared man's fault, but try telling that to a thirty year old with anger issues. I sighed and slowly ate my food while trying to ignore the noise a few feet away from me. In my opinion the steak was delicious and if I didn't know better, I'd think Xanxus was already in a bad mood when we got here.

That wasn't the case. An hour ago, he got great news from one of his subordinates about an assassination that he got tons of money for. As a mafia boss, he had to hide his surprise, but I knew how stressed he was about that deal. When we had taken a seat at the dining table, he was strangely talkative and I thought that just this one time, I could eat in peace. My eyebrow twiched as I realized he wasn't going to stop yelling. Once, just once, I wanted to finish my meal without my ears wanting to burst open. I suddenly slammed my fist onto the table, causing the wine glass to fall over and shatter on the floor. My dress got stained in red and I huffed in annoyance.

My husband let go of the skinny waiter, who fell on his butt and crawled away on his knees. Xanxus glared at me with his dark eyes and I only stared back with my lips pressed tightly together. I didn't want to say something I'd regret later. It was something I've learned a long time ago. It was better to think of what you want to say, instead of just lashing out and getting into an even bigger fight.

"Honey," I started my voice tight and filled with remorse. "I know you don't like your meal, but enough is enough! It's the exact same shit every day and I'm sick of it! Besides, if you want to blame someone, blame me. I was the one who told the chef I hated spicy food." That wasn't the truth, but I'd do anything to get some silence right now. "So just hit me if you're angry and be done with it!" I punched the table again and then crossed my arms on my chest to face him head on.

His lips quivered a little, as if he wanted to smirk and then he leaned back on his chair. "Now why would I do that?" His tone and posture were relaxed, but his expression was as poisonous as ever. "You think just because you're my wife you can tell me what I can and cannot do?" It was a question that we both knew was true to some extent, but I still shook my head although our eyes were still connected. It wasn't because I was his wife. Our marriage was arranged and I hated it for many years, but now I've learned to accept it. Xanxus taught me many things.

I stepped closer to him and frowned. We were completely alone in the room, because everyone else had cleared out, when I snapped. "It's not because we're married, dumbass." His jaw tightened at my statement and I stood even closer. I put my hand on his shoulder and squeezed it tightly. "It's because you love me." I whispered seductively into his ear and smirked.

"Why's that?" He asked quietly, something he did only when he was turned on. I giggled and brushed some stands of hair from his face so I could see his scar better.

"Let me eat in peace and maybe I'll remind you tonight." I chuckled. I loved seeing him struggle to remain composed like this. I turned around to go back to my seat when he suddenly grabbed me by my waist and pushed my body onto the table. His lips found my neck and he bit the soft skin making me let out a soft groan.

"How about I remind you why you shouldn't leave your husband hangin'." Xanxus lifted the dress to expose my belly and licked my ear. It sent shivers throughout my body and I sighed as he began stroking the inside of my thigh.

"That's so childish." I tried to mock him, but he only smirked at how out of breath I was already. "Stop, what if someone sees us!" I tried pushing him away, but it was impossible.

"Sure, because it would be so weird if I was fucking my wife!" Sarcasm was dripping from his every word and I squinted my eyes to seem intimidating. He scoffed and continued kissing my collar bones. I closed my eyes, letting the pleasure overcome me and moaned out loud. "That's more like it!" I felt his smile on my skin as he grabbed my butt with both hands and lifted me up into his lap. I crossed my legs behind his lower back and held his shoulders for support as he planted a rough kiss on my lips.
